Would prefer to talk to someone

Today's appointment was pre arranged for my childs immunistations and was easy to arrange, however, with econsult there are times when I would prefer to have a chat with someone rather than it being dealt with by message. It is sometimes difficult to get the issue across on the form so you end up going down the wrong avenue, having said that the system does work on the whole.

Can be frustrating

I realise that its not the staff's fault but it can be frustrating when your 15th in the queue and have to wait a while but I have been able to get appointments. When my asthma has been a problem I have struggled to get a quick response and therefore the medication that is needed for it. It would be good to have the steroids on prescription so they can be requested as and when they are needed rather than having to wait for a doctor to call you back each time.

Good staff

I haven't needed to use the surgery much and getting today's appointment was absolutely fine via econsult, it all worked smoothly. I've been able to phone and book appointments. The staff are good, never had an issue and I don't mind if I see different people as it doesn't affect the care.

Childrens appointments available

It's been easy to get appointments for children in a good timeframe too. Econsult has worked well and has enabled us to get help or assistance when needed. They either call or message and each work well. I would prefer more face to face appointments but understand that this isn't always possible and things are different now.

Difficult to see a GP

It has been difficult to get to see a GP. Mostly I've spoken to them on the phone rather than seeing them but more often I have been told to call back later in the day after lunch to see if anything is available.

Friendly reception staff

Getting appointments for blood tests is easy enough to do when they are needed but it can be about a two week wait. I'm very happy with the staff they are all very good especially reception staff who are friendly and helpful. A higher seated chair in the waiting area would be good to have.

Good staff

I don't visit the surgery much but staff are all good and I'm happy with the surgery and the care provided. I have had to wait 4 weeks to have an appointment with a nurse for a blood pressure reading but it wasn't urgent so not too much of an issue.

Face to face appointments reassuring

Having a face to face appointment is reassuring and staff are helpful and explain issues. I'm happy to see any of the staff depending on who is available. I have had to wait a couple of weeks for an ECG and I have used econsult in the past which worked okay but I would've preferred to be seen.

No problems getting appointments

Econsult has worked well to get a response with in 48 hours to get small issues addressed or even appointments when they are needed.

Been ok

It has been ok to get appointments but there was a bit of a mix up earlier this week. I arrived for the appointment but I hadn't been told that it had been cancelled. It was then rearranged for today with the nurse. The dispensary are brilliant and they normally deliver my medication. The staff are so lovely, helpful and friendly.
