Two knee replacement surgeries last year

Orthopaedics
February 19, 2016
Surgeon was superb, care was excellent. Physios Excellent. Slight problem with night staff recognizing a serious nose bleed and took too long to call in ENT. I have food allergy, staff didn't seem able to find out content of dishes. Concern with hygiene of ENT doctor and not hand washing on subsequent visit when cauterizing nose.

Practitioner put me at ease for MRI

Imaging
February 12, 2016
I recently went for an MRI scan which was daunting. When I arrived the practitioner talked me through everything and put me at ease quickly. She explained everything and this made it much easier than I expected.

I never have to wait

Haematology
February 10, 2016
I have to have blood tests monthly as I am on Wafarin. I have it down to a fine art now-I go at 9.00am when the early birds have been and gone and before the clinics start to send patients in. I never have to wait and the staff are very efficient and professional

45 minute delay

February 10, 2016
My appointment was for 11.00 but I wasn't seen till 11.45. 45 minutes late which no one warned me was likely and no on explained. I then had a scan done. The first note said left side, second note said right side. I then had to wait a further 20 minutes for yet another scan to decide which was the correct side.

I was treated for cancer and cared for in the MacMillan unit. I can't speak highly enough of them. Everything was absolutely marvellous. Food was good and the staff were fantastic.

They got in a muddle

MRI scan
February 9, 2016
I was sent for a scan by my doctor which was carried out at West Suffolk Hospital. Somehow they got in a muddle with my scan and asked me to go back for another one. I had to wait pretty well all day the first time around so I didn't bother and let it all go.

They looked after my son very well.

February 9, 2016
My son was transferred back to West Suffolk from Addenbrookes after a procedure. He arrived at 11.00pm in Rainbow Ward but they still managed to find him some food! They looked after him very well and the food was good.

February 9, 2016
I was seen reasonably quickly and the staff were polite and helpful. All good but not great.
