Very good care

I had an emergency c section and the care received was very good, they looked after us both very well. I needed pain medication and although at first they did not want me to go home I was able to after discussing it with staff.

The teams and all staff reacted with professionalism, reassurance and knowledgeable when my child was diagnosed with diabetes. All staff were clear, helpful and reactive as needed. NHS at its very best.
Brilliant care

Couldn't be happier with the care I received from staff. They were great and kept my daughter who was in America well informed during my staff, they were really wonderful.
Long wait in A&E

I had a 6 hour wait in A&E and although the care and treatment from staff was great there were so many people there that shouldn't be there. There needs to be a better way to stop people going there unnecessarily.

The referrals to the hospital have been in good time and the appointments have taken place as expected. I've been given good support while I've been waiting for my operation.

My baby has been referred to the dietician due to difficulties feeding. Firstly I was asked "Is this your first baby?" Actually no but what difference does that make if my baby is having problems, the inference is that you're a panicking mother. The support provided has been really limited and has just been a lecture with other parents not individual help. In the end they discharged me because I wouldn't put my baby back on the milk she's allergic to, they also said I didn't turn up to a meeting even though they cancelled the original date and I couldn't make the rearranged one. I really didn't find that the video calls really addressed anything. Overall very disappointed with the support provided.

I had very good support offered by the team and with the loss of a twin I was very pleased with how I've been cared for throughout the rest of the pregnancy. I was given regular scans and kept well informed and included in all the discussions. Visiting times for siblings to visit are only 2-4 which doesn't work very well when they are at school and you're having a longer stay in hospital. Due to traffic etc by the time my children got to the ward they had 5 minutes with us and were then literally kicked off the ward, there's no flexibility.

Nurses were brilliant and the care on G4 was great, I can't fault the hospital.

I stayed for 1 month and found the care provided by staff to be brilliant. The ward was busy but they were great. The meals provided were very good, although I didn't get any condiments which would've been nice.
Slow to identify issue

I spent 2 years being told I had IBS and as soon as I transferred to Addenbrookes they identified that it was crohn's disease and started treating me accordingly which improved things greatly. Even though nothing was improving at West Suffolk Hospital they still kept saying it was IBS.
