waiting for results

colorectal
October 12, 2022
I was referred for a colonoscopy and it was arranged quickly and the staff on the day were very supportive. Its now 4 weeks later and I'm still waiting for the results and have no idea when they'll be available which isn't so good when you're worried.

Critical care great

October 12, 2022
The critical care nurses were amazing. I waited 2 1/2 years for a leg operation and in June after the operation I thought something was wrong but kept being told there wasn't but it turns out there was a problem. I've had no support to come off the opiods that I've been on and went cold turkey.

I've had real difficulties with the urology consultant being very dismissive over the issues and concerns I have.

Very good care

September 30, 2022
The care and treatment is great. Staff are conscientious and I've had great care over the years. More recently I've been treated for a reaction to a medication and was very pleased with how it was all dealt with.

Little feedback to family

September 27, 2022
I reallly don't like the hospital care that is given. There was little feedback given to us as a family and we were just left out of it with no information. The staff are ok but the overall experience was not good.

Throughout covid and ongoing I have had very good treatment and care provided by the hospital for a range of issues. The staff have been amazing and I really can't fault them.

Sent to A&E by GP in pain - diagnosed gallstone?

Accident and emergency services
September 20, 2022
13th Sept. Doctor called ahead to alert Surgical Team at 4.15pm I was in a lot of pain, nauseous and ill, possible gallstones. Booked in, saw Triage nurse, blood taken within 2.5 hours. After 4 hours asked for update. After 7 hours asked again. Seemed surgical Team did not know I was there. I had been completely overlooked . At no time did anyone check on any patient to see if all was going to plan. Husband and I in our 80’s. We were cold, hungry and very upset.
Eventually saw a member of Surgical Team who was very apologetic. ‘Arranged’ an ultrasound scan for next day. Turned up no scan booked. Went to Acute Assessment unit, waited 6 hours, saw consultant who booked a scan for Tues 20 Sept. Arrived, no scan booked. Very kind lady took 20 minutes to investigate and I was fitted in for scan. Back to ACU, after 3 hours saw consultant. Staff very kind but obviously too many patients!
