MacMillan unit

All throughout covid I continued to have cancer treatment and care and the Macmillan Centre was totally amazing. They are always there for you and try to make everything as easy for you as they can.

I saw my doctor and was referred to the hospital for investigations. I was seen with in two weeks for a lump and have had an ultrasound and endoscopy and then I was called to say there were no issues. Very happy with everything.

I had cancer treatment at the Macmillan centre last winter and the care provided was excellent. The support since has been wonderful and I'm now nearing the end of my chemo.

The support I received after my operation has been amazing and the telephone sessions with the physios have been very good as was the post op care on the ward. I wasn't expecting my hip operation so soon but I'm pleased it was done in March and earlier than expected.

I went straight in to A&E but even though it was quite busy the care and treatment was good. The nurse I saw was great and did what needed to be done and gave good advice. The xrays were done quickly and I was able to leave with in 4 hours.

Care from staff was very good and the food provided was very good too. There's not a lot of TV or radio for people who are not online, there is an assumption that you are online.

I was admitted to hospital and they have actually saved my life twice. I was cared for really well. Having to wait for my knee to be done for over 9 months has been difficult but very pleased with the care provided by staff.

We've continued to have face to face appointments with my sons specialist, its taking a bit longer for appointments but they are there when you need them so very happy with the support provided.

I have an appointment at the hospital coming up and they have arranged for a translator to be at the appointment which is great.
Lack of information

The wards do not give much information on your loved one when they are in hospital, which is worrying.
