I can't praise the team enough for the care and treatment I've received following my bowel surgery. I've felt very well cared for and staff did all they could to explain what I should expect and the next steps.

Been very pleased with all the staff I've come in to contact with, they have been very friendly. They've also been helpful and informative, making sure I know exactly what is happening.

Recently referred

Audiology

This is my first visit to the department following my GP doing the referral. I've been able to hear people but do struggle more when I'm in a busy environment. I currently do not need any additonal support but wasn't aware that I could ask either.

Lack of contact and long wait

Despite being referred to the pain clinic in June 22, when I called recently to check when I would be seen I was told I was on the list to go on the list! Other than me contacting the department I'd heard nothing, its a long wait when in pain.

Great staff

Very happy with staff in the audiology department as I visit fairly regularly. At this stage I do not need any particular support when attending appointments as staff speak clearly and slowly. The biggest difficulty is having to speak on the phone especially if they don't speak clearly. I've not really been asked what would help me by either the hospital or my GP surgery.

Parking is an issue

I needed to have a catheter replaced but A&E were not experienced with the issues I have, it would've been better if I'd been sent straight to urology who had all the equipment needed.

Good maternity experience

Although a good experience I found out afterwards that I could've been on the birthing unit after I was told I had to be on the other unit. There is also a rule that if you go for monitoring 3 times then they talk about inducing.

Wait for referral

We've been told our child will have a one year wait to be referred and seen by the paediatric urology team which is concerning however we've been told to go to our surgery if we are concerned at any point during that time.

Wrong details on letter

Initially I wasn't aware that I needed to contact the department to actually make an appointment and then the referral letter I received had the wrong phone number. Once I had it, it was very difficult to get to speak to anyone. I've now got a 41 week wait to be seen in urology.
