The nursing staff are great.

The nursing staff at the surgery are great, they spend time with you and actually treat you. I can't fault them.
Booking appointments with doctor of choice
May 29, 2015
No doctors (male) on certain days. Cannot book appointment with specific doctor, even if it is to follow up from test results. When results have come back nobody has telephoned to say I have to see the doctor.
Electronic booking system alternatives
May 29, 2015
Ensure booking systems are easy to use for all patients. the use of electronic booking in systems can be difficult to negotiate, alternative should also be available.
Flu vacc clinic.
May 29, 2015
The flu clinic last year was very popular but people including the elderly were having to stand out in the cold for up to 1/2 hour before going in.

experience ranges from excellent to poor.

The ability to see a doctor in good time excellent - 5
Friendly and caring attitude of all staff excellent - 5.
Attitude of openness to what I find good for my health worse than poor - 1
It is an archaic and completely illogical attitude to accept as reality in life only those things which we can see with our own eyes and perceive with our own senses, to accept only that which we can completely understand and quantify, measure and prove, and to dismiss all else as non-existent. Once not everyone accepted that the world was round until it was proved. Until we could measure them we did not know about the existence of radio waves and X-rays, and yet this level of energy existed, just as the wavelength of the colour green existed, they were no less there than the colour green just because we could not perceive them and had no machines to enable us to perceive them. If vast numbers of people sense healing energy in so many different forms of complimentary and alternative therapies, and they feel and experience benefits in health from these, then for goodness sake stop keep shutting out and ridiculing what we cannot as yet prove, and what can help the crisis in the NHS, and encourage rather than discourage people to empower themselves with better health in whatever way works for them. Allow people to accept back responsibility for their own state of health, for doctors are not responsible for the state of health of any individual, they are there to guide and support individuals to find their own state of well being.
If we stop allowing the profit of drug companies to be the driving force behind the NHS, and start putting what brings actual health first, the savings to the NHS could be immense. If we allow all who do such wonderful work within the NHS, and those thousands who work for health currently excluded from the NHS by outdated attitudes, the freedom to help in the amazing ways they all can together can all live in better health.

cancellation of appointment
April 28, 2015
I was due to have a cyst removed and when I arrived at the surgery I was told the appointment had been cancelled and I haven't been informed.
unresponsive service

My husband has tried 5 times to get his blood test results via telephone - he has an on-going blood problem.
Unnecessary letter from Surgery
April 9, 2015
I received a letter from my practise advising me about the dangers of smoking and how to quit. I am a non smoker and it this was a letter sent to all patients it should have been worded as such. The cost of sending this to all patients is unnecessary and should be targeted at smokers only. I am now wondering if my notes say I am a smoker.
