It does feel like the availability of appointments has improved as when I needed a follow up appointment I was able to get one in a good timeframe. After speaking to the doctor I was able to arrange an appointment with them but it does feel like there are more steps to getting an appointment now compared to years ago. Having the new doctors has made it easier too and overall I'm happy with the surgery.
Easy to get appointments

The phones are busy and for me that's the only issue. The staff are helpful and to arrange nurse appointments in advance is easy to do. It would be great if it was possible to book appointments online again.
Very difficult

It's very difficult to call when working as I'm driving at the time I need to call and then by the time I get to work there is nothing available. If there is a call back available they don't give a time and I can be in meetings and unable to take calls. There is no flexibility in the system to allow appointments to be arranged around work, I've tried econsults and that doesn't help either. In the past I've specifically asked not to see a certain doctor due to past bad experiences but they are always the one I end up having a call from. It has taken 3 weeks to get an appointment to discuss the menopause issues I'm experiencing and I was so disappointed with how it went, it was pointless.
Difficult on the phone

Appointments do run behind in the surgery, last time it was half an hour but it's difficult not knowing. I do struggle with phone consultations as I find it hard to hear and understand what the doctors are saying. My original appointment was cancelled and so its been almost a 2 month wait for another appointment. The doctor did visit at home recently and arranged for an ambulance which I was really grateful for.
Online process

I did an online submission and sent a photo and was then given an appointment the same day which I wasn't able to make so I was given one the next day which was really good. To get our child an appointment has always been good and appointments are available when needed.
Chaotic

It's hard to get appointments as the phones are so busy and it's rare to get a face to face appointment. Staff are as helpful as they can be but appointments are limited and the continuity is difficult and took a month to get an appointment with the doctor for an ongoing issue.

I spent 30 minutes on the phone and was 26th in the line this morning. When I did get through I had problems when they couldn't hear me but in the end it cleared and I was able to get an appointment with a doctor at the surgery, which I was happy with. It isn't seamless between the pharmacy and the surgery and that's where most issues occur. Staff are friendly but processes are time consuming.
Issues getting medication

Always have issues with prescriptions each month with the pharmacy and surgery blaming each other and I'm the one left without medication. It just means you have to plan way in advance to take account of the issues you'll have. Following a stay in hospital my daughter needs to have an appointment to know what now needs to happen but we've been unable to get one arranged. The hospital letter hasn't been added to the NHS app yet either which is just adding to the difficulties.
So frustrating

I phoned up and waited for about half an hour then the call was taken by someone and I explained that I had received a letter for an appointment and they transferred me through to completely the wrong person (someone in sales it seemed)! so I had to hang up and start all over again, so frustrating!
Am often sent to East Berholt these days

I find that I am often sent to East Berholt these days and its rather inconveinient as it is much further, there is not any rural transport which makes it all the harder, getting through on the phone is difficult but once you get there the staff are friendly and efficient.
