Excellent care

Allowed to stay in my wheelchair for procedure. Fantastic care and support by all staff. Am an older disabled person and my young life hospital experiences left me with lots of anxieties. Nothing like this yesterday. Would go to this department again quite happily. Cup of tea given after procedure

Due to the fact that I am in the "lower end of society" I believe I have been treated with no respect at every visit I have made to the hospital. I need an operation but have no confidence in the service or the staff. I feel that just because I am homeless I am looked down on. I will die on the streets because services failed me

Cannot fault process so far.

In here today to have nose cauterised. I have only waited for 1/2 hour (patient then called in). Ambulance brought me here on doctor's advice after numerous nose blleds. Can't fault the process so far.

On my visit today I noted the floor in A & E was quite dirty.You can see the mop marks in dirt, so an obvious attempt is made to clean it but the equipment must be dirty. Staff were welcoming. A patient had left a coffee cup on the floor. There is a bin near exits but not in main part of the area. Screen had no info on it, just "heart" logo

Great care, lovely doctor. Treated with great respect (not always the case when you are in a wheelchair!) Sometimes made to feel like a child.
Great concern as I cannot get hospital transport. Doctor going to get secretary to find out why. Got to have minor operation later

Staff are very helpful and call every week. Visit at home to discuss tablets, check my blood pressure and feet. Coming next week with a heart monitor as my heart was racing. Excellent communication and support

One of our residents went to the hospital today. The staff treated her with Dignity and respect. She was seen in a very timely manner. The consultant ensured that the resident had understood what he was saying and re-worded things until he knew she had understood. Everyone was friendly and supportive.

Member of the Team went with a resident to the appointment. The Resident was treated with the upmost respect and dignity. They spoke directly to the resident and did not try to get the answers from the carer. Great Sevice right from the receptionist to the consultant. They also did not keep him waiting.

Tried to discharge late at night.

One of our (Care UK) residents had been admitted to the hospital over the weekend. On the 6th they phoned to say they would be discharging back to the home. At 20.00pm the resident had not arrived back so the Nurse phoned the hospital and was told they were still waiting for transport. It was discussed that it was unfair to be discharging so late and not in the residents best interest. They agreed the discharge would take place on the 7th of December. Resident arrived at the home in discomfort as had a blocked catheter and the catheter was conected directly into a night bag no leg bag was attached.
