very good hospital,
A&E and Stroke wards

my husband has required several out / in patient services.including during covid lockdowns. we are both medically trained and we have never had any reason to complain. From the volunteers at the front to discharges all staff have been professional ( night & day )

I managed to get a quick apppointment at the audiology department and they saw me quickly. Its been ten years since I have had a referral and they are hopefully starting me on a new hearing aid. I have always found the staff to be very good in this department.

Under a great team of midwives that I knew throughout my pregnancy and birth under continuity of care.
My baby came early and my birth plan was stuck to really well.
I now wonder where there are the baby weigh-ins.

Delays to my cancer treatment

I saw a GP and got a referral straight away to the Dermatology dept. I was seen in 2 weeks. I had skin cancer on my face and was operated on at the end of last year. They then contacted me 8 months later for a further operation and said they should have seen me sooner, but I've had more removed. They didn't say why it had been delayed.
My surgery now see me regularly to have things swabbed, so it is good that that is happening.

Excellent continuity of care. I had the same team throughout my maternity experience. This helped me with my confidence in them. I had a postpartum haemorrhage and necessary procedures, which were big things to cope with. I was in for 3 days total in the hospital and was able to have my birthing partner with me for the whole time.
Just very caring team and going through a few difficult things, meant they really just knew me and my needs and wishes.

Having the team throughout my pregnancy was amazing. My birth plan was followed and I was fortunate enough that my child came quite quickly.
Great aftercare too as they saw me at home. The transition from that high level of support to just a phone call with health visitor was hard.

Aftercare was very poor, I was sent home with just a brace, it was six weeks post operation that a friend told me I should of been discharged with physiotherapy exercises for my finger, I telephoned the hospital and they sent them out for me. My finger is now worse than it was post op and rolls out to the side ... and still has part of the original lump plus 2 new ones. Operation was in July last year
