My care was always very good antenatally, with my midwife. When I was in hospital I lost count of how many different midwives I saw, which was disconcerting. I was in for 5 days and ended up with an emergency cesarean. This went ok but my husband had to leave 2 hours later under the covid restrictions, which I understand, but it was very difficult at such an amazing time for us. I had not heard of the continuity of care teams, but it sounds like a good idea having that wrap around care and seeing the same people throughout.

I cannot fault the team. They are still trying to find what is wrong but being so thorough, so cannot complain. Was there in a lot of pain yesterday and they were so kind and caring.

After seeing a consultant in relation to my hernia and the need for an operation, I was told it would be in 3-4 months time, but asked if I wish to go on the list, should there be a cancellation. I opted in to that as I can do things at short notice, being retired. A couple of weeks passed by with some information on it coming through the post, but nothing on there stated that I am happy to take a cancellation. My partner called them and it was not on the system, much to my disbelief. Why fill the form in if it doesn't get added to my information. It is now on there.

Excellent care here for all my needs. Regular visits. About to start more chemotherapy after a few operations. Difficult times, but feel well supported.

I have seen the same midwife and I am now just over half way into my pregnancy. The continuity is important to me. I know my choices and I have been making my plan. (Community Midwife Team)

When turning up to A&E with our son in pain in a personal area, they admitted him straight away and operated on the Sunday. He stayed in for 1day and recovering well.
We are grateful that he was not turned away and at a busy time could do everything to sort out the issue really quickly.

Cataract operation NO2

This is the 2nd eye I have had done for a Cataract operation. I had information before the operation and afterwards too. As I had the operation on a Thursday, with the weekend coming they gave me an emergency number, just in case I had any issues. Gave me confidence and reassurance knowing I had that.
