Very responsive

I had an allergic reaction and the surgery was responsive within 90 minutes. Everytime I phoned they saw me on the day. They have spoken to me on the phone, I have had blood tests they have been very thorough. They contune to be responsive for 3 moths now, seems they are determined to get to the bottom of it. I can only say excellent response, staff on reception have been brilliant, I cannot fault them. I feel fully cared for and listened to.
Blood test form, I would prefer a text

I do find it difficult to get a face to face appointment with this surgery. I routinely have a 3 monthly blood test, I would really prefer it if they would send me a text reminder to collect the blood test form. The emphasis seems to be on you for your own care. The diabetic nurse has to be chased for an appointment, this is frustrating. I was asked to take a photo myself of a skin issue and based on my photo some cream was prescribed it was no use at all to the issue a week later I saw a Physician associate PA who gave me some prescribed shampoo and it cleared up within 5 days if they had seen me to start with rather than messing about with me taking a photo and sending it in the problem would have been sorted out a lot quicker.

I feel that the Doctors surgery should take the lead more when it comes to tests like blood and sputum results, they dont put abnormal results online, nobody comes back to you with results on the phone letting you know, feels like my health is in my own hands to some extent and I often feel let down, I ask myself 'would they ever have contacted me', if I had not have actively chased it? But other than this aspect they are quite good.

The GP I've seen recently has been great, very supportive and has pushed with the hospital when needed too. They've done a referral to physio and addressed the pain I was in. My daughter has had ongoing issues and they have really supported her.

I usually access the GP by phoning the surgery, not too much delay, the doctor usually calls back after that. I was asked to provide a photograph of a recent skin complaint, I had to get someone I know to do this for me which was a bit awkward but I did it anyway. The GP surgery asked me in and they also took a photo and sent it to the hospital. I was asked to go to the hospital to the dermatolgy department as a result of the photo and thankfully I was given the all clear.

Although they are good I do only get to see the nurses rather than being able to have appointments with the GPs which I would prefer at times.

I found it a bit confusing this morning when the check in computer didn't work but overall there are not too many problems when you call reception for an appointment. They arrange for the GP to call and discuss the issue and because I'm able to monitor my own BP at home I can give them the information they need. Blood tests have been fine to arrange and the dispensary deliver my medication which is really great.

To get through to the surgery on the phone is not too bad and I had a call back yesterday and was then given an appointment to come in and see a GP after speaking to them. I felt that everything was talked through well and I've been seen quickly today. They are now arranging extra tests for me straight away which is very good.

I don't often come to the surgery but when I do I can get an appointment by calling and talking to reception. They arranged for me to have an appointment with a nurse today and now I'm seeing a doctor. I always find them good here and don't feel anything needs to change at all.

A helpful surgery and the speed of getting seen or getting a response is very good. The contact I've been pleasantly surprised by how good the GP has been.
