Limited explanations

I've found that they are limited explanation of issues when they arise so my understanding of what is happening and the subsequent follow up isn't great. I just feel that things aren't being addressed or sorted but may be its just not being explained. The dispensary is an issue and they seem disorganised as they can never find what's needed.

Quick investigations

Extremely good as can get appointments quickly and this aspect has improved. They were very quick to arrange heart investigations and I've found the staff to be good. The dispensary deliver medication to a local business which makes it easier to pick things up and if anything is missing they'll deliver a few days later.

Brilliant

A brilliant surgery with staff who are professional, polite, friendly and listen. When I called I am met with kindness and listened to and had the call back in an hour with the doctor who has then invited me in for an appointment. The dispensary staff are helpful and proactive and they look for alternative solutions.

Friendly

Reception staff are friendly and helpful and the doctors are good and overall we are very lucky to have the surgery. The dispensary is the only downside, its difficult as the staff are all new and getting used to things so things seem slow. Occassionally medication isn't available and it is frustrating that you have to queue for 20 minutes plus to get them and then some aren't available.

A good surgery

Able to get appointments but I do feel the system is difficult when working as I don't work close to the surgery and taking calls isn't easy so I can spend days trying to get an appointment arranged. Dispensary staff are good but there are medication delays due to supply issues but staff are proactive at finding solutions.

Very good

Don't need to use the surgery often but I'm able to get appointments whenever needed after speaking to staff on the phone. I've had no issues getting blood tests at the surgery and the staff are always great.

Friendly

I've had no problems with the surgery I can get seen on the day and they will always squeeze you in if urgent. I'm really happy with the staff they are always so friendly and helpful.

Finding it more difficult

I'm finding the system more difficult as getting a face to face appointment is more difficult and it feels more detached. When I do speak to or see a GP or a nurse they are very good and have acted quickly but I would've preferred to see a doctor as I find it hard to explain whats going on. For todays appointment I was missed so the nurse is now going to queeze me in. A clock in the waiting room would be helpful to know how long you've been waiting.

Medication not ready

I've received text messages saying that medication is ready to collect but when I arrive the medication is not prepared and ready to take, so I've had to wait while they do it there and then. There have also been issues getting some of the medications I need but this seems to be imrpoving now. The nurse appointmetns have been fine to get but with doctors I've still had the call backs which seem to be the preferred option. It can be difficult to describe what the issues are over the phone. Staff though are good and explain things well.

Good care and treatment

I called this morning and was given an appointment quickly with a nurse for our child. I felt well listened to and the care and treatment provided was great. The only issue is that you can't get through to the dispensary as it goes straight to voicemail. In the end you have to come down to check if the medicine is ready to pick up.
