Ask My GP works ok

Ask My GP works ok but I've had to wait until the following morning to get a response over the phone. I have also asked for an email response but been called and when I've asked for a call they email. I would prefer to be able to see the same GP more easily and they have missed that my consultant had changed my medication, a nurse picked it up 6 months later. The staff are good people and are kind and are doing their best.
Unhappy with the system in place

I find that it is very difficult to see a doctor and it feels detached. Not seeing the doctor is a concern and theres little follow up. The phone consultations have worked ok but there has been limited signposting to get support. I feel that when I was told I was taking too much Ibuprofen there was no follow up or discussion about how I should manage the pain or take instead.
Wasted visit

I was given a blood test appointment at a time when samples had already been collected for the day so I had to re book and wait another 4 days, its a shame this wasn't picked up by staff.
Children seen quickly

I've found that for our daughter she gets seen very quickly which is great but for me its been more difficult and the main contact I've had is by phone. I don't really feel that these have fully addressed the issues and my concerns were not really listened to. I finally went to hospital where I had fluid on my chest.
Quick call backs

Ask My GP works well and I've had quick call backs from the doctor. The converstation went well and I've been invited in for an appointment. It would be handy if the system was opened up a little earlier as this would allow an entry to be done before work or getting the children to school. I did have some tests done but I've not had any feedback about the results and that would be nice to have, just to confirm everything is ok.
Access is good

It is excellent and I have no access issues here. You don't see the same GP twice, but I understand that this is difficult.

I've had no problems at all. The responses when using Ask My GP are quick good and importantly on the day. I mainly need nurse appointments and they are great, they manage everything really well, however, there are times when it would be nice to discuss things with my own GP. Overall staff are good and everything works well. I've only had one occasion when I didn't feel a locum really addressed the issue I had, other than that I think its a great surgery.
Telephone consultations work well

Most of my appointments are for blood tests and these have been no problem to arrange. Telephone consultations have been very good and work well to address issues. Staff are always lovely and pleasant and I don't feel they could be doing anything better. I really like that prescriptions are delivered it makes it much easier for me.
Not a fan of Ask My GP

I don't like Ask My GP as I feel that it takes longer than calling the surgery. I've had to wait hours for a call back this morning, and I don't like the uncertainty of knowing what will happen when. It makes it much more difficult to let work know whether I'm coming in or not. The staff though are nice and helpful on the phone and I'm happy to see whoever is available, other than one doctor. I feel that booking appointments in advance would be fine with Ask My GP but for on the day issues it would be much easier to call.
Really quick

I find Ask My GP efficient and really quick to get a response, it was 5 mins today. After speaking to the GP I've now been invited in for an appointment. I don't use the surgery much but the last few times I have used Ask My GP I've found it easy to use and has resulted in the issues I've had being addressed appropriately.
