SALT - an excuse of a service
June 20, 2016
My child should have an allocation of Speech and Language Therapy - SALT per week which the service isn't providing. My child should have a three monthly periodic review which wasn't forthcoming, finally a review has taken place albeit after a five year gap. Appears the service is now reluctant to commit to providing what is necessary.
Poor occupational therapy assessment service
June 20, 2016
Community Occupational Therapists assessing my child's needs for adaptations, equipment and therapy, are not doing justice to my child's situation. It feels very much as if the assessment is being overly influenced by the financial implications for them.
Excellent

Visit by community nurse. The person who received treatment said the nurses are always very good.

Fantastic night nursing team. Looked after in a very caring and considerate team. Great support, whatever problem. Why can't the day team be so good? Some couldn't care less about the patients . It is just a job
Long waits for podiatry service at Sudbury HC
June 13, 2016
Long wait to have podiatry service, not been seen since Jan 14th. I have diabetes and do need my feet checked regularly. A chair outside the door would make it quicker for patients who struggle to walk down the corridor.
Top rating.

Community services never got in touch
March 24, 2016
I saw my colorectal consultant at Ipswich Hospital. He said I had an impacted rectum and that he would refer me to district nurses for enemas. By noon the following working day I had heard nothing so I rang Community Healthcare. They had received no referral. I left message on consultant secretary's phone explaining situation. Two days later I rang Community Healthcare again. Still no referral. I rang my GP who said he would put a note in the district nurses in-tray at the surgery. I never heard from the district nurses. I had to treat the impaction myself. I have had help from district nurses in the past and they are wonderful. Clearly there is a problem with referrals.
Chiropody appointments have been good
December 21, 2015
I felt that the last time I went I was being asked lots of questions about my general health and that they may be cutting back services. When I book next I will find out. The staff won't do my toenails any more other than one that causes a problem, they do check for corns and hard skin.
Diabetic Footcare great
Diabetic Footcare
December 21, 2015
My diabetic foot care checks are carried out every three months. They are very thorough and have really helped. I've had two toenails removed and they have treated my feet to help prevent in growing toenails. The staff are all really polite and friendly. Sometimes the three months increases to four by the time I have the appointments but care is good.
Podiatry service stopped treating my son
December 17, 2015
When the new service provider took over my son who has significant foot problems was taken off the list to receive care. We were not consulted at all about this and only when I called them did they admit they had no health information on his file and did not check before removing him from the list. In fact my son has significant health issues which means he does need regular appointments. Once treated and back on the list they have been great.
