Would like to see same person

With ongoing health issues, I would like to see the same person as I just find I am repeating myself each visit, which is frustrating as it uses up most the appointment time, but they ask me things and clearly have not had time to look at what has already happened up to this point.
It would surely be better for us both, if I see the same person. I have not had a solution yet, and do think things are being missed as they are just changing my meds, no referrals for investigations beyond that.

Good for us

My whole family come here and it is good for us. We use the APP and find it easy and you always hear something the same day unless later in the afternoon.
It has been switched off a couple of times but that was after bank holidays, so you expect demand to be high, so we just waited a couple of days and managed to get a chat and appointment. The facilities seem a bit outdated and the ladies toilet downstairs was out of order, so you had to use the mens. They should really put a sign on the men's door just saying it is men/women that day.

Variable service

Although I would definitely say there has been improvement, as you used to just be told to ring the next day, but now you generally get a callback, I do find it variable. I have had things that I felt needed a face to face appointment and a ring back was given with an ask to follow up in a few days, but then I had to call on that day as they cannot book an advanced appointment for that. So it is a variable service for me.
Easy today

Got in really easy today, using AskMyGP, which I find very easy and quick to use. Saves me hanging on the telephone with a little one. I find they always see the baby, but with myself it tends to be dealt with on the telephone, which is ok for me.
Seen same GP

Really good that with ongoing health conditions we have been able to see the same GP a few times now. The treatment and care is extremely good and we are thankful for that and do appreciate it.
An understanding 'ear'

Good link up with the pain management clinic that made this appointment for me. Linked with the physio too, but got good understanding 'ear' and able to give me good advice for me to manage in meantime until medication kicks in.

I use AskMyGP and find it excellent and easy to use. I get responses in good time and have gone in for an appointment if necessary. Sometimes it has been switched off by 10am, which is frustrating, if you are unable to get on it first thing.
Prefer face to face

Most appointments I have had have been over the telephone, and I prefer face to face. I probably have had 5 appointments in the last 6 months and finally being seen face to face at this one. Telephone appointments just feel rushed and they can just cut you off, whereas face to face you feel more looked after and less rushed.

Accessing by telephone for only 'on the day' appointments, which can be frustrating. GP does make advanced appointments, but when you ring in you cannot book ahead like this. I ended up on the telephone for 20 minutes last time talking with a GP. Would have preferred to come in, as I could not hear them well, so things had to be repeated. I know face to face you get half that time, but for me it is better for my hearing to see someone face to face.
Access difficult

I feel access is difficult as more 'hoops' to jump through. Cannot ring and just ask for an appointment anymore. We have been given an email address to help us as we have member of the family with Down's Syndrome.
