Lack of understanding
April 4, 2025
I feel the GP needs to have a better understanding of dementia as it's not been easy.
Care good
April 4, 2025
I've had no problems getting appointments but I'm confident to say when I need to be seen in person. To be fair though I haven't had any major problems and the care is good.
Couldn't get an appointment went to 111
April 4, 2025
About a year ago in 2024, I just wasn't feeling well, I knew that something was wrong but couldnt seem to figure out what it was, I phoned the surgery but I kept being put off day after day and I was starting to feel worse, but the person on the phone would'nt give me an appiointment to be seen. I eventually called 111 and they phoned me back I explained what was happening to me and they told me to go up to A & E and they gave me an appointment so I didnt have to wait for hours, when I saw the A & E doctor they said why didnt you go to your own doctors with this you must be in pain, by this time I had blood in my urine, it was identified as a urine infection, but had I been seen at the GP surgery earlier on then I would not have had to go through all of that. A & E gave me some anibiotics and it eventually cleared up. I just felt that on that occasion it was poor service from the surgery. I am diabetic and they do always call me for my 6 monthly blood test, they are good with that, staff are good with me when I am there and parking is good.
Very thorough

I identified a pain in my chest and they took me seriously, they did lots of tests on me quickly. I feel thoroughly checked over. I was referred and saw the consultant within a month where they continued to do scans and tests including blood tests. Benign tumour found on goiter. I dont worry now, they put my mind at rest.
You have to wait a bit if you phone up
December 11, 2024
You do have to wait for a bit if you phone up in the morning which you have to do, my husband phoned at lunch time for something else recently and he got straight through but you need to ring first thing if you want to speak with the doctor.
Forced to use online to access
December 2, 2024
My family member moved house and into their catchment from another Ipswich Surgery but when they contacted the service they said that they would not accept them as a new patient, I found an address online and wrote a letter explaining that my family member has cancer and has moved house and needs to be accepted as a new patient at this surgery. I did not get a reply but interestingly they were contacted by the surgery and she was accepted as a transferred new patient. Now that's worked out fine but I should not have had to got involved and done that, this has not been a good time for us all, but the service has improved, the star rating I have given is purely because I am forced to access the surgery via online and not allowed to use the phone.
One the day not easy at times
November 29, 2024
On the day have to do an online form but it would be better if it was possible to be able to book ahead as it would make it easier to plan rather than everything being dealt with on the day.
Access once at the surgery - difficult
October 31, 2024
Its a nightmare, you are supposed to sign in on the computer screen but I cannot see as I am registered blind, I then queue up to speak with the reception staff and she tells me to sign in but I can't! I even was asked to take in a urine sample and they asked me had I filled in the form!? When the next patient is called to go in to see the GP it goes Bing Bong and the name appears and they are supposed to come out of their room and collect me but they don't.

Phoned doctors spoke to reception had to terminate call because they could not hear me. Went to surgery to speak to someone. Told no one I could talk to . To phone up.on Monday. (This was said on a Friday. Explained that I had contacted them but that they could not hear me. Did not want to know. Left with no help and could not take antidepressants given.)
