It's been fine to get appointments for our child who has additional health needs, they do a great job and are very supportive when we do visit.
Time needed to park

As the surgery has a large number of patients, sometimes, parking can be very difficult. I have had to have driven off site and walk back in, which in this area is difficult. Even allowing extra time, I have been late for my appointment a couple of times, and unfortunately I was put down as a DNA and asked to call again the next day. Very frustrating due to the parking issues. The surgery is otherwise very good. I am not sure what the answer is though.
Number in queue

When you do not know where you are in the queue, it makes things difficult, especially when you work. I feel that patients would rather know, as I do, where we are in the queue. It just helps, as you can know how much longer to wait. If I was number 5 for example, I would wait, but if above 10-20 I would try later. It disproportionately affects those like me who work. We are asked to call when you need certain things, but this system makes it just much more difficult. I cannot take a morning off work, just to hang on a phone.

I find there are barriers to getting what you need here, just because you wait some time on the telephone. The need to know where you are in the queue has been ignored, as I have raised it and know many who feel the same. You can make an informed decision, if you are either 5 or 30 in the queue. It makes it difficult to access when you work and cannot go online in work time. Not offered any 'later in the day' appointments either and I have had to call 111 a couple of times to gain an appointment when I had not been able to get one here for a few days and I had concerns.
Had good access

I have had good access ringing in and getting an appointment for my child in early days of childhood. We are seeing a GP today. I have not used the online system as not ever felt the need to.
Good care

They have given us good care over the years here. We use the 'phone and get through reasonably quickly when call at 8am. Today was a 'on the day' appointment and was promptly given the appointment when I rang. Staff are kind and caring. I would like to see physio operating here, as it would be convenient and looks like they have the space to do that.
Running behind

Rang at 8am today and was offered a GP appointment. They are running late (30 minutes) although it is only 9:30am! I would like to know where you are in the queue when you call the surgery. Often I have limited time when calling, so I never know whether to hang on or not bother.

Today at a an appointment I flagged up that I have had trouble booking my covid/flu jab from the text that was sent to me. In response, they offered to book me in themselves through reception. So that was helpful, thank you
Pretty good

In the main this is pretty good and thorough. I was in recently about something and asked if I could see a GP, but told no appointments were left for 'pre-booking.' Told to ring at 8am on Monday, which is strange to me, because if there is not appointments for GP what's the point in ringing in, what difference does that really make.
Hearing loss

I tend to walk in to try get appointments due to hearing loss. I can just about hear them but not sure what I will do once I cannot. I have also booked the covid/flu vaccination.
