It was really good, the doctor explained things really well so I understood and told me ways to stop it happening. He also spoke to me not my mum which was good.

I recently had to take my son to A&E after being advised by our GP that we should do just that if our concerns continued. We then faced a four hour wait with a distressed 2yr old. It wasn't necessarily the wait that upset me, it was the doctors reaction once we were seen. They were rude, patronising and unhelpful. To top it off, the doctor we saw was not a paediatric doctor and as a result was unable to diagnose and treat my son meaning an even longer wait. It was clear they were extremely short staffed and over worked and I do not blame the doctors directly however, it is expected that we act respectfully towards hospital staff and surely as patients we deserve the same respect and compassion?

How could 2 experiences be so different in the same department? The female receptionist was so helpful, kind and efficient. She even sorted out my brother's hearing aid within an hour so I didn't have to go back on another day to collect it. My brother has cerebral palsy. She was really sweet to my Dad, who is receiving chemotherapy palliatively. It made such a difference to a difficult day - one less worry.

I had a stent unblocked at Papworth Hospital in January 2015. The consultant told me that I would hear from West Suffolk Hospital shortly after for a routine check-up to see if everything was okay with the stent and my medication. I heard nothing.
I called West Suffolk Hospital in June and it was explained to me that I was on the list and was due to get an appointment. Once again, I heard nothing. I called West Suffolk today to find out that West Suffolk have no record of any paper work from Papworth Hospital.
I am on medications that can have significant side effects and they haven't been reviewed. Their internal and external communications are appalling. Why have two members of staff given me conflicting stories?

I went to Martin Cork centre at 8 am . I was assessed by lovely staff, seen by anaesthetist and surgeon who explained in full of my procedure. I walked into operation theatre made to feel at ease, next I knew I was back on the Ward and greeted warmly, offered a cup of tea, I was comfortable. At lunch time I had more tea and a sandwich. The surgeon came and told me how successful my procedure had gone. A nurse offered to telephone my husband who came to collect me by 2.30. A very relaxed and efficient experience. Well done.

They are very good at the hospital and the cardiology department was great. The chapel at the hospital is a beautiful sanctuary to visit when in there The Chaplain is very good and most understanding. very special people

Good meals, first rate chef. On the wards the meals were very good. I could always access my water. The quality of medical care is first rate

I attended A & E on Saturday afternoon requesting to see a doctor. I had seen my GP the day before but the surgery was closed. I was anxious and worried by my symptoms. I was treated with utmost courtesy, quickly seen, tests ordered & carried out. Left after 3 hours - all tests exams complete feeling reassuredd

The service was excellent but I had no idea that the injection in my back would affect my legs which felt very wobbly and I had difficulty in walking . I had what I thought were similar injections before and almost immediate relief from pain and no difficulty in walking.
