Horrendous

The consultant I saw was very dismissive and really couldn't have cared less about my situation so I asked to transfer my care to a different hospital where the difference has been amazing.

Straight in to A&E

I was taken by ambulance straight in to A&E where the care I received was excellent, I really couldn't fault the care and staff that treated me.

Dismissive

The care is good but staff don't look at your history or listen to patients and can be quite dismissive about ongoing condition. Two or three times they've just sent me away with morphine so I just go straight to Addenbrookes now as that is where my consultant is.

Oncology have been great.

I used to visit the department every 12 weeks for a consultation but now these take place on the phone which is much easier and then once I've had my bloods done I receive a call from the nurse. I'm really happy with this as it means I not making so many visits which didn't take long while I was there. Much more sensible to have phone calls.

Complicated pregnancy

I received very good care during a very complicated pregnancy and when I was admitted my partner was able to stay too. We were very pleased with the care and support provided.

Marvellous service

Nurses have a lovely attitude and A&E acted quickly and were very good until I was transferred to a ward. The ward was very busy but the care provided was great and information was well explained. When I was moved to a different ward the information that they were given was a bit limited for some reason.

Virtual ward great

I was discharged on to the renal virtual ward and was very impressed by the care I received, advice and support offered. Everything was explained before I went home and family set up the system for me and I had daily contact with staff and visits from nurses for blood tests when needed. It worked so well and I liked that I was able to be home whilst still being cared for so well.

No empathy, feels like you are in a factory

It was bad because I feel the staff don’t listen, are often rude and there is no continuity. In just over 3 weeks I have seen 10 different consultants all saying different thing

Community Consultant visits

I really like that my consultant visits Sudbury Health Centre every 6 months and they are supporting me well. I find that everything is explained well and I find him easy to talk to.
