A convenient appointment
Hearing aid services
November 6, 2018
I already have hearing aids though they are quite old (about seven years or so) and they irritate the psoriasis that I have behind my ears. Stanton GP made the arrangements for me to be able to contact the hospital and, make this appointment so it would be convenient for me. I have only had to wait 3-4 weeks which I consider to be pretty good given all we hear on TV about the NHS!
Very good.
Rheumatology
November 6, 2018
I would prefer it if they didn't keep moving the clinic to different parts of the hospital. It isn't a big thing but I just wish it would stay in one place so I know where I am going! There are no problems when you do get in to see them-no problems with how they look after me, they are very good. I have problems with my joints, particularly my hands and I am prescribed medications which help with the swelling and discomfort. I take them once a week and unfortunately they make me quite ill for a couple of days. Two days unwell out of every seven is quite a lot and it is disruptive for my family and for me. The team here are very good though and I am going to seek their advice on whether I can stop the meds. for a while to see if I can cope without them.
I am really happy with what they do
Rheumatology
November 6, 2018
This is my first visit to rheumatology department-I came for an injection. I feel better already. I am happy with what they do for me. My doctor in Thetford sent me here for this appointment. They really care here, don't just send me home and tell me to take paracetamol-they take me seriously.
Short staffed
Wards G8 and F9
October 29, 2018
The hospital appears to be short staffed-I saw poor leadership on four wards. Parking charges are exorbitant the result of which is that many elderly do not get visits from their friends which means that morale is low. The new parking areas at the back do not have well defined parking bays with the result that many people do not park in an orderly way which reduces the capacity of the car park by reducing the useable bays
Overall great
Outpatients
October 23, 2018
I came in today for an outpatients appointment. Overall it was a great experience. There was a slight delay in me being seen (15-20 minutes) but my appointment was in the late morning so I expect they had started to run slightly behind. I was a few minutes longer than the time so I understand how this happens and my view is that I am happy to be delayed a minute or two if that is a consequence of getting the necessary time with the doctor.
Very efficient
Orthopaedics
October 23, 2018
I came in today for some hand therapy in the Orthopaedics dept. Whole visit has gone very well. Got parked easily, booked in a little early, seen on time and the staff were friendly, professional and very efficient. I have to continue to do the exercises that I was shown which I think will help me enormously. Five star treatment!
Friendly and professional.

I only came in for an injection today but it was all very professional and friendly. As it has been on all my other visits over the last months. The only minor blip today was that I was a bit late being called in but really that was nothing compared to all the other very good stuff I have experienced.
absolutely fine
General Surgery
October 23, 2018
Today was a pre-admission meeting to explain my surgery. I feel well briefed and much reassured by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff I have seen today. So, for me, everything was absolutely fine other than a slight delay in being seen on time.
Difficult to think how it could be better
Maternity
October 23, 2018
I have been under the care of the maternity department. They have all been lovely and very professional. I have been very impressed with the quality and volume of information that I have received. No question was too trivial and all my concerns were treated seriously. It is difficult to think how it could have been any better.
Professional and reassuring
Geriatric Medicine
October 23, 2018
I have visited my mum who has been in for four days now following a fall at home. She is eating and recovering well. Staff are all very kind and I find her care to be professional and reassuring. She is much improved in herself and she tells me that all the staff are 'wonderful'. My only gripe is that I usually visit in the evening as I work and it is a bit difficult to see anyone that knows what is going on medically. I am a bit concerned that I have not really been up to speed on where she is on her recovery pathway and when she might be fit enough to be discharged. I have a day off from work today and I was therefore able to come in earlier and get a more comprehensive update.
