Was a bit back and forth

As I have arthritis too, there was a bit back and forth between services. Physio thought a particular issue was Arthritis and the hospital said it was hypermobility issues. It felt like there was a lack of knowledge, but it on that occasion was arthritis. The same thing happened and then that time it was Physio that was needed. It just takes time to get into the right service.

Attending a second appointment now, and was seen initially within two weeks of my self referral. I found that pretty easy to do on the advice of the surgery. There is a gap in service around Hypermobility though and I do feel as it is a common issue and general physio is not always appropriate.

Very pleased with the service today that I received. Today was my first face to face appointment and I had made contact four weeks ago. They had to delay this by two weeks due to illness, but it for me is a reasonable timescale. Staff are respectful and kind, which is important to me.

After the initial self-referral that I made, I had a call quickly and was given a few exercises and then a couple of weeks later had my first face to face appointment. I felt I was seen reasonably quickly from the initial call and I feel I am making good progress after now coming three times. The staff answer any questions you may have and talk you through things well.

This is a much improved service over the years helpful and treat you better with attitudes and line of questioning. Used to be quite course and not explain why you not getting referrals. Ended up needing spinal surgery in the past.

Due to the pain and the waiting times, we went for an initial PRIVATE physio appointment and was advised accordingly by them. When the first appointment came through with AHP, we had said that we had been to a PRIVATE physio, and they promptly told us that we can not see them again if going to the private one.
We did a re-referral a few months later and gained access again now.

The referral response was pretty quick, roughly within 2 weeks. I accessed an appointment and felt the plan seemed pretty good. Gradual progress was made, so initially it felt good, but then I stayed the same and we hit a dead end, but nothing from then on helped me make further progress. No 'imaging' was asked for, which I felt would be a good option. It is at a standstill really now.

It's been good and they responded the day after the referral was made. I was then seen 8 days later for my first appointment which was great and the exercises have really helped.

I was referred by the hospital and was seen quickly with in a week and was very happy with the assessment and was sent an email with exercises to do. I've been doing the exercises but there hasn't been any improvement so far. Staff have been through everything with me and they've been very flexible with appointment times.

I've found the service to be very good. I was referred by my GP and in 2-3 weeks I had my first appointment after being given some initial exercises to do. The staff have been great at explaining how to do the exercises and it has been a really proactive service. I really like the community gym that is available to use. it is relaxed and having the staff there has kept me motivated and on track.
