I have referred myself to AHP Suffolk twice in the last 6 months for 2 different problems. The referral process is easy. Their response and initial advice is very quick. You don't have to wait too long for your first appointment and the staff take their time to assess and advise

I am currently using the Allied Health service for physio. All the clinicians that I have seen have been friendly, knowledgeable and helped with ideas for exercises and onward referrals

The physio was very professional, caring and thorough. He recognised that there were two different reasons for the pain and numbness I was experiencing. He gave me an exercise program which resolved one issue. He made a hospital referral for the other problem, and I am on a waiting list for surgery. I had previously seen the same physio for a different issue and months of exercises had also completely resolved a shoulder problem.

I did the self referral online which was fairly simple to complete and I heard back quickly to say I could have an appointment in a couple of weeks. I'm now having my first appointment and so far its been great.

Staff have been great and have demonstrated exercises really well. It helps when you see the same person at each appointment as they can easily track progress. The group sessions have been friendly and welcoming. I initially said I'd do it all at home but then changed my mind and I'm glad I did as it has been a great option. I did the initial referral myself by phone and that was easy to do too.

My doctor did the referral and I only had to wait 2 weeks and I'd received all the information about the service. Its a brilliant well explained service and I'm having a treatment block of six weeks and in a couple of weeks we will then discuss the next steps. Having the text reminders are a great thing to have too.

I'm only here for my first assessment but so far its been quite good. All contact with staff has been pleasant and I should've had my appointment about 3 weeks after my GP referred me. Unfortunately due to sickness this had to be postponed for a couple more weeks.

I've used the service for two different issues and ther staff have been flexible with appointments and very helpful. When I wasn't able to get in for appointments staff phoned me to discuss how I was getting on and what to do next. The first time I used the service the hospital referred me and the second time I did a self referral and both worked well to get quick help.
