I've been very happy with the advice and treatment provided, it's been very thorough. I've had a range of scans done and been referred on to a consultant and now just waiting to be seen.

I found it worked very well for me and addressed the issues I was experiencing. I've been given an open invitation to go back over the next year if I decide I do want to be referred for an operation but at the moment I'm going to see how I go. Staff have been great and explianed everything well so I could do the exercises at home.
Bit of a slow system

It feels a bit like box ticking. I saw one person initially and then saw someone different to be able to get a referral for an MRI, but now everything has slowed down and I'm waiting.

After being assessed and being told that I need to lose weight before any referral can be made I've lost 4 stone but the target weight they have set for me is so unrealistic and is below the weight I was even as a teenager. There is no discussion and little care and compassion and the only alternative I was told about was to go private where my weight wouldn't be an issue and it would get done sooner. I've been told I can go back to them in the next year if I manage to lose the weight. It all seems very unsupportive.

I am not keen on a central phone number as they are not so easy to get hold of if I need to make any alterations. I am also dissapointed that they do not do any hands on treatment.
Quick process

I self referred and had contact back in 48 hours. I then had a telephone call where we discussed how to manage the situation. I then had an appointment with a physio and then sent for an xray but I'm happy with how quickly it all happenend and the contact I've had with the staff.
Little benefit

I found there was little benefit although they did listen to me about my previous history and referred me straight for a scan rather than doing any actual physio. It just seemed to be a bit of a waste of time and appointment but staff were very freindly.
Appointments limited before xmas

When I tried to arrange appointments before Christmas the only ones available were in Aldeburgh or Felixstowe which were quite a distance for me. I checked after Christams and I've been able to get an appointment at Drovers House which is much closer for me and the choice of appointments was good too.

After doing the self-referral I was seen in 3-4 days. I was given a treatment plan and it has worked well. I was given the right exercises to do and my condition has improved so much.

After visiting A&E I was advised to self refer to AHP for treatment and I've had great treatment, been very pleased with all the staff I've seen.
