Friendly staff

Have used the surgery occasionally and arrange appointments online when I do. I end up speaking to the right person and have been given face to face appointments when they've been needed. The staff are friendly and I've been quite impressed with the surgery, the system works well.

Unsure in making an online appointment

I made an online appointment but once I had done it I was unsure if I had done it correctly as the appointment wasn't confirmed or clarified in any way. I then did receive a text but the wording still caused uncertainly as to if it was actually an appointment! I would have preferred a phone call to avoid any ambiguity and to avoid people not attending.

Walked in a few times

Not too bad now getting through on the telephone. We have walked in a few times but that can take ages due to only having one person helping at the front desk. Once we were told to go home and ring in instead.

Definite improvement lately

I have noted that there has been a definite improvement lately with access through the telephone.
With some 'higher end' issues, I would much prefer to see a GP, but this has not yet happened, even when I have asked.

Look after me well

I have no trouble here when 'phoning in. They look after me well and they are very kind. Have had a number of skin cancer operations and they sort my dressings out here at the surgery. It can be distressing time, but everyone who helps is just so kind, gentle with me.
My reviews have also been done on time (diabetes).

Told to wait a month for a GP

We had to complain direct to the service as we desperately felt we needed to speak with a GP which was agreed, but was told a 'phone call with this particular GP would be a month! they have managed to bring it forward, when we complained. Access is not too bad as use the online system, but that is if you are happy just to see anyone, mainly Nurses.

Link with prescription

Put a request in using the online service at the surgery and it said I would get a call in 4 days, as it was nothing urgent, this was ok for me. I was also told that my prescription had been 'put in' but when I went to the pharmacy to get it, it was 'not in'. They had to order it and it took another 5 days to get it in. (Haydens pharmacy), so the link up does not seem to be working well.

I use the 'phone line and find it fine to get through in a reasonable amount of time. Having multiple conditions and have quite a bit of medication. I have used 'online' and do so if I am out elsewhere, as rather not be on the telephone then.

I walk in now

Just find it so difficult to get appointments here. I have taken to walking in now as when I ring and wait 30-45 mins the msg states 'we have no appointments left for today.' then it is never a GP. I am not being offered a weekend one, but will ask next time now I know they do this.

Online appointments booking is down.

Not possible to make online appointments but when phoning the practice, the recorded message says that the best way to make an appointment is online. Very frustrating to get such conflicting messages.
Also, the front page on the Bridge Road Practice website has a message about "How to stay cool during the heatwave. This message has been there since last summer. This message should be deleted and replaced by a message that tells you how to make an appointment when the online system is not working,
