Good at the moment
March 4, 2024
My appointment has been arranged for some time as it is only a review but earlier in the week had an urgent appointment and I got that easily. I'm very pleased with the care received.
Happy

I'm happy with the care here and happy that I'll get an appointment when needed as I've never had any problems. My blood tests are all prearranged and when I've needed referrals they have happened quickly and the paramedic I've seen has been very good in the past.
Very good

The phone line is busy even later in the morning and at time I've waited 40 minutes to get through. I like to be able to book appointments online with the doctor and call backs can come through in about half an hour. Overall the care provided is very good and I get to see my own GP which is great.
Great surgery

Doctors and nurses are friendly, helpful and approachable and provide good care. There is a bit of a longer wait to see both nurses and doctors now for non urgent matters but anything urgent is dealt with on the day. I prefer to be able to talk to someone face to face and I really like to see my own GP and would rather a slightly longer wait so that urgent issues get dealt with on the day.
Good staff

I've been able to book my blood test in advance and staff are always good. It's my first visit in a year but I'm always happy with the surgery, they are great.
Care is good

Care is good but communication is a bit up and down as I was told to expect a call for a review but it didn't happen and then I was asked to book an appointment, which I did, and then I was asked to book it again. I feel that communication and records need to be better as it's not been great. I've had both my flu and covid jabs but neither were on my records and there were incorrect dates on it too.
Getting appointments difficult
March 4, 2024
I don't feel that the reception staff really listen when you need an appointment as its not easy to get one. Initially I was offered an appointment with a GP in a months time but then when I felt it was more urgent a family member contacted the surgery and I was given one sooner. Communication needs to be clear so expectations are not raised and then when things have not followed through it causes worry. Care once in is very good and staff react quickly but getting in for appointments is very difficult.
Well monitored
March 4, 2024
There are no long or excessive waits on the phone to get through to the reception team and when I registered it was all very straight forward. Depending if I'm passing I either pop in to the surgery or call to arrange appointments and both work equally well. I like that there are multiple ways of contacting or receiving information from the surgery including email and text. The Care Navigators are great at sorting out appointments with the best person in the team. Since joining the practice my asthma has been monitored very well.
Works well

I phone or pop in to arrange appointments and it all works well. It's a real positive that I get to see my own GP and within a good time frame too.
More difficult

It is more difficult to get appointments now. We've had continual phone calls with different doctors so we never seem to move forward with issues and they just try different medications rather than actually addressing the problem. Doesn't feel as approachable now.
