Generally very happy

April 28, 2015
My daughter suffered from continuous ear infections. My only concern was that the GP's should have referred to the consultant sooner as the high number of perforations has left her hearing permanently unpaired. Once "in the system" the overall care was good. We hardly ever saw the same hospital Dr twice though more continuity would have helped.

Thankful for excellent care

Thankful for excellent care from all staff at the breast clinic, especially how they respond so very quickly when I've had concerns and for being very efficient in making appointments.

Feel left to get on with it

April 28, 2015
Husband has Alzheimer's, diagnosed at Addenbrookes, who would have provided a 6 monthly review but he accepted being referred back to Ipswich Hospital. Under the care of Ipswich Hospital they saw him once and said they wouldn't see him again because there was nothing they could do. Feel left to get on with it on our own.

Feel I'm treated differently, I have bi-polar

April 28, 2015
Having benign breast disease I visit the breast clinic for check-ups, I feel I'm treated differently because I'm bi-polar. They have suggested their is no problem before they even examine me. Now I see my GP instead because he has found cysts and is draining an infected cyst when the clinic said/found nothing.

They didn't always listen to me.

April 28, 2015
After waiting 4 months for an appointment I was seen by a nurse and it was suggested I go home and apply sudocreme. I pressed for an examination and they found a problem but couldn't operate. After subsequent appointments and tests they are going to examine under anaesthetic. 4.5 years have passed since that first appointment. I feel that they didn't always listen to me because I explained I have mental health problems, there is one consultant that does listen.

Visited A&E and the care was excellent. Very pleased when they said they will be having mental health staff in A&E.

Very good care from the eye clinic

April 28, 2015
Very good care from the eye clinic but instead of follow up appointments coming within 6 weeks as is needed they tend to be always later 7-8 weeks.

Responded really well

April 28, 2015
Had an emergency need to have my hearing aid repaired and they responded really well. They will willingly post items rather than make you pick up from them in Ipswich.

Very good medical care /receptionist missed.

April 28, 2015
Having Crones disease I've had cause to visit a clinic in the Gastroenterology department on several occasions over a long period of time, very good medical care. However, missing having a receptionist in the clinic, everyone entering is left wondering what to do next.
