No re-tests done for few years?

Audiology
May 4, 2023
Have had a hearing aid for a year and when had initial test at Boots I was told that I needed both ears. I was however given one.
I've had a re-test at Boots recently and they said I need to come again but told hospital won't re-test until 2025! They also told me I need to get it serviced every 3-5 months which I had not been told when I got it, so I am in today to hand it in for that.

Finally got access

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

This department is part of the bigger puzzle of trying to access orthodontics and being passed around services. Finally here for extractions and told the funding is there and they meet the criteria even though gone from 'child' to 'adult'.

Thank you taking the time to leave your feedback. I am sorry that you had to battle the system to get your extractions and I hope your forward journey is easier than the one you have experienced so far.

Excellent service provided by everyone

Urology
April 26, 2023
I visited the department for an invasive procedure. Every person I interacted with was respectful and professional, even down to the receptionist using my name to say good bye when I left. My experience was overwhelmingly positive and I wanted to pass on my thanks to the whole team for a job very well done. Thank you

I feel abandoned by the pain clinic

Pain management
April 24, 2023
I feel abandoned by the pain clinic. I have had ongoing nerve pain issues in my leg and I have been prescribed morphone by the pain clinic which has been increased by them up to a high level. I am concerned how it has affected me and also increased my dependence on it, this has worried me so much that I have decided to go down another pain management route myself, it is costing me a lot of money, the pain clinc staff are aware of what I am doing but I do need another conversation with a medical professional in the pain clinic.

Still waiting

Orthopaedics
April 19, 2023
After 18 months from apparently being put on the 'urgent' list I am still waiting for knee surgery. You get no timescale given to you and no communication. As I am walking less and less (used to be in a walking club and out every day), I am now barely able to go anywhere due to concerns of falling over. I cannot use a stick due to arthritis, so if it is not sorted soon I will be completely immobile.

Delayed results

Cardiology
April 14, 2023
I've been told I have heart damage but not had anything really explained to me. My GP hasn't received any of the results of tests I've had so they are unable to explain whats going on either which is worrying. Following a TIA my GP also requested a follow up at the stroke clinic but was told by a consultant that due to a lack of capacity they would not be offering these appointments. I feel very unsure about what is going on with my health as they give you news but no information or guidance about what to do.

Told only 3 chances

Gynaecology
March 30, 2023
When experiencing bladder leaks, I had the 'blue mesh' used. Unfortunately, each time they did not work and on the third attempt after 10 days I had to go back and they said 'sorry we cannot help any more' as I had had my three 'chances.'
