Some insulin difficult to get hold of

My daughters type of insulin is difficult to get hold of by the surgery, it was a good 3 months that they could only get hold of a different type which upskittled her system. I am wanting to keep her as stable as possible on the same medication. My daughter is also supposed to have a regular review as she is diabetic and epileptic, it used to be 3 monthly but now it is much harder to get an appointment with this surgery and so to get the consistency that we once had.

I was referred to the hospital for pain in my appendix, I was examined by the hospital and I had an operation to have them removed. The GP was very responsive and her referral was spot on. I cannot say anything bad about them they are excellent and I feel well cared for.

Whenever I have needed the GP I have been able to be seen. I phoned a while back and explained that I had ear pain and the Care Navigator said that if I could get there in 30 mins I could be seen by a GP, I sat for 15mins on arrival and was seen, absolutely excellent service.

Friendly and efficient staff and its quick to get appointments although you do see different doctors, the paramedic I saw today was very good. The chairs do feel like they face the wrong way and you have your back to the doctors when they are calling you.

Econsult is pretty easy to use and gets quick and thorough responses and I like being able to see results through the NHS App. The only area that could improve at times is how reception staff talk to you, it can be quite blunt and sharp when on the phone to them.

A brilliant surgery with staff who are really good and so helpful. I've been having regular blood tests recently and these have been fine to arrange and easy to book by phone. I did have a small issue when the appointment I booked and confirmed in a text was not showing on the system but staff were great and arranged for me to be fitted in. It would be great to have the clock in the waiting room moved so that patients can see it when they are waiting as currently it is on the wall and patients face away from it.

They are doing well at the moment as I can get face to face appointments for non urgent issues in about a weeks time which I'm completely happy with and the staff are always lovely.

I tend to phone for appointments but recently when I tried to use the appointments option on the phone rather than reception it just rang and rang so instead I waited for reception when I called back and got through ok. I called yesterday for todays appointment which was fine as it wasn't urgent but when it is I've been seen the same day and have been offered in person or telephone consultations, I like being given the choice over who to see too. The only difficulty is keeping young children occupied when appointments run behind.

Econsult is good but the phone does get a quicker response as there are no long waits on the phone and reception are very accommodating fitting me in for appointments when needed. Staff are also quick to get things in place and dispensary staff are very helpful. Doctors and nurses are fantastic and I do get to see the same GP which is good for the ongoing issue I have. For general issues I'm happy to see any of the staff. We're very lucky to have such a good surgery.

It really is a great surgery where care and staff are amazing, I really can't fault it.
