A bit of a wait

July 18, 2024
To get bloods done does mean a wait of about 3-4 weeks if you need the appointment in Sudbury. The staff though are good and see you quickly when you are there.

Straight forward to access

October 4, 2019
After my GP surgery said I need an urgent blood test, but they had no appointments for more than 2weeks, they said I should book at Landseer road. They gave me no information how I could do that though. I googled it, followed a link and easily booked a slot for 2 days time.
As early in the day I parked easily, used the screen to book in and reception printed off my paperwork.
Appointment ran on time and Phlebotomist was quick.
All was very easy to do and could fit it in before work.
Building was clean although 'ceiling tiles' looked like they were a bit dodgy.

It's good

Don't bother with booking ahead as the walk in service works well. It's good.

Compared to old system this is much better

May 16, 2019
Compared to the old system this is much better. I tend to do walk in appointments and use the computer to book/check in which works well. Husband uses the online system which is working well for him. Staff are friendly and blood tests almost painless. I like that you can see your name on the screen and you know how long you will be waiting to be seen. But you can remain anonymous too.

Awful

April 10, 2019
Left work early in order to attend the clinic for bloods, arrived before the closing time only to be told that the lady who collects the bloods had already been and so they were no longer taking any. Complete waste of my time and my employers time. In my circumstances I cannot attend in the morning, and I work full time.

Pretty good at Sudbury

March 19, 2019
Its a pretty good service at Sudbury and I like the fact that you can do walk in appointments. I normally come in the afternoon and you can virtually go straight in, in the mornings it does take a bit longer to be seen but its not bad. Now I'm used to the computer its ok.

Quick and efficient

March 19, 2019
A little bit of a wait to be seen as a walk in patient but not too much. I've never had any problems as a walk in and the average wait is probably around 20 mins. I don't really think that there is anything that they could do better as the phlebotomists are quick and efficient reception staff are very helpful.

I visit the Sudbury Health Centre for blood tests and it works very well. I book my appointments online and find the check in computer works well too. Theres nothing to fault.

Sudbury works well

March 19, 2019
Can get appointments at Sudbury when they are needed. I tend to book by phone and this works for me but I can alos do walk in appointments if I need one on the day. Getting to and from the health centre is the biggest issue for me as the buses are so infrequent.

Preferred old system

March 19, 2019
I preferred the old ticket system to the one in place now as there is more waiting now. The computer system is fairly simple to use but you do have to push harder than you think. The lady I've seen for my blood tests has been very good each time I've come.
