North East Essex and Suffolk Pathology Services (NEESPS)

North East Essex and Suffolk Pathology Services (NEESPS) is a partnership of Ipswich, Colchester and West Suffolk hospitals. Difficulty cancelling

October 2, 2018
I tried to get through on the phone, on the day of my appointment, to cancel but no one answered, I then got a letter saying I was being removed from the list for not attending. I had also phoned the day before my appointment to say that because of the snow I doubted I'd get there but I was told to keep the appointment and see what the weather did, but no one answered the phone the next day.

Email result is better

October 2, 2018
The email response for blood test results is an improvement. I didn't have to wait long today to be seen but on other occasions I have waited more which wasn't so good.

Dont like the computer

September 3, 2018
Very good at Sudbury, I phone up to make my appointments as I really don't like the computer that you have to use at the centre. Overall it works well for me.

Computer isn't user friendly

August 30, 2018
The computer to book in / make the appointment isn't user friendly its not overly clear what to do. Being seen is very quick and I have no problems. It would be useful to have 'how to make the appointment' on the letter saying you need one.

Online appointments difficult to get

August 30, 2018
Getting an appointment online is very difficult. If you need a repeat blood test in a months time you can't actually book that far ahead online line or by phone. This means you have to remember to book it later and before the appointments are gone. When you do book online you are meant to get an email confirming the appointment but this doesn't always happen and you have to call them to check it has actually been made. The 'checking in' computer is difficult to use as you can get long queues of people waiting to use it. The staff though are very good, and so very good at taking blood, much better than the hospital.

Staff good

I've noticed an increase in the appointments available recently. I tend to book online which works well for me and the staff have been good, some are better than others at taking blood but generally good.

Not told of the different ways to book

August 30, 2018
Weren't initially told that you could book online or phone so had to do walk ins which sometimes meant long waits. Now I know it works well and I can get appointments.

Book online and by phone

Can get appointments when needed, either by booking by phone or online. Don't have to wait too long to be seen and generally you go in very quickly.
