GP is great

whenever I have a concern my GP is great and has been very supportive. We have been referred to Ipswich Hospital with our daughter and the surgery has been great listening to our concerns.

Waiting for x ray results

GP referred me to Ipswich Hospital for x rays, still not heard back about results, was told would hear back in a couple of weeks.

The call back system is great. If needed there is usually an appointment on the day. I have to say I am very impressed.
Not very patient centred

It was the end of the day. I phoned my local GP saying 'i've got a problem' and was told to ring back tomorrow. But that's what they told me yesterday. They wanted me to ring again in the morning. Seems like they have an intractable policy - not very patient centred. I couldn't even speak to a GP on the phone. They told me i could either come to GP Plus or phone in the morning for an appointment.
Not totally satisfied

My child had a cough and temperature. The Dr keeps saying it's a virus. I didn't feel totally satisfied. In Poland I would have got antibiotic when my son had been sick for one week but not here. I keep being told it's a virus but after 4/5 days it comes back. I rang Ravenswood Medical Practice today and was told they were full and had no appointments. I could either ring tomorrow or i could use GP Plus which I did.
Efficient service and dedicated staff

Having access to a service that responds to your needs on the same day is a huge boon when one is in need of medical advice or attention. Ravenswood offers such a service.
Doctors are really pleasant

I found the doctors and nurses there really nice and caring. It is easy to get appts. The only disadvantage is when you ring up for an apt is that the reception staff ask you what the problem is. I do not feel comfortable telling them this as it is private between me and my doctor.

Everything I've been there for has been well dealt with by friendly and patient doctors and nurses, who not only understand the medical side of things but any anxieties patients have of seeing a doctor.
