Seen in lockdown

June 24, 2022
I'm very happy with treatment here. I was seen face to face in the 'lockdown, after a telephone appointment. Waiting on the call always goes down really quickly.

No issues

Yes, you wait a while on the telephone, but you do not wait too long, considering the number you are in the queue sometimes. I have never had a problem getting an appointment when I have needed one, which is all I can ask for really

E-Consult is ok

February 18, 2022
I have used E-Consult but it is difficult as you do not know when you may get a call. It does save the initial time on the telephone though as you have to call at 8am, which is impossible for me working and driving at that time.

Cannot fault

February 18, 2022
This service has always been really good for me. No issues at all. Yes, you wait on the telephone, but that is to be expected as demand is bound to be high. I have waited up to 20 minutes, but you go down the queue really quickly.

I have been in with my baby for the appropriate checks. I find the staff really good and genuinely helpful as they answer any questions I have at the appointment

Good for most things

February 18, 2022
I have had various needs this year and the things that a Nurse can do, you get quick access and an appointment. Where there are things that you feel you need a GP for, that is much more difficult, you then get telephone call first which delays access. I have had medication prescribed over the phone, which did not sort things, then another phone call, then another prescription and 3 months later I get to see someone and get a referral! It just is frustrating.

Telephone app for check

February 18, 2022
I was offered a telephone appointment for my asthma check, when it usually involves checking technique and peak flow. I am not sure where the logic is in this. If I was needed to be seen before when telephone consultations did take place for some things, it is bizarre that it is seen to be adequate now when I do not have a peak flow meter. When I used to go in they also used to pick up on anything I was doing wrong with the peak flow level tests you do. Again, needed to measure my health. You do not like to insist on face to face because surely you should be able to trust that they would offer you this.

Call in doctor

February 18, 2022
I have not seen a GP for some time, but when I have seen another person they have brought a GP in to confirm what they have said. This gives me confidence as I understand that we have less GP's than needed. (CDO explained the new roles being overseen by GP's)

Ring back when working

February 18, 2022
It difficult when I work to answer my 'ring-back' as I never know when I will get the call. I am sure I am not the only one with this issue. Why can you not be given an appointment slot, just as you are when you get a face to face appointment. If I miss the call, I do not get another call, then I have to start the whole thing again. E-Consult is the same if you get a call. I have put preferred time in, but apart from once, I have not received it anywhere near the requested time.
