The doctor i saw today was absolutely amazing

I saw the doctor today about a pregnancy related condition and he was so thorough, tentative and caring. I haven't come from an appointment feeling so happy in a long time well done

From 51st waiting got a call back from doc OK

Although I was 51st in the queue on the phone recently I was not waiting too long to then speak to reception and await a call back from the GP which was reasonably quick.

Ongoing support poor but emergency care good

Once you get in, things are great but it is so difficult to get through when you are busy yourself.
Waiting in queue, then a call back. If ill on the day, this works. But for ongoing treatment it does not work.

Doctors are fantastic- getting to them isn’t

Having to ring in dead on 8 to get in the call queue- today I ring in at 8- fifth in the queue and one hour later still awaiting them to answer. The doctors are great- but getting through on the phone lines any day of the week is absolutely horrendous

It is a massive problem getting through on the phone to even get in the call queue .
Some of the receptionists are extremely helpful whilst others seem to be as difficult as possible and tell you that they can’t do things that you haven’t even asked them to do . It seems their main objective is to be obstructive . An example is that “the doctor won’t just come out and see you !” I didn’t even ask for a doctor to come out . They cannot wonder why people get so frustrated .

Great surgery but needs more staff

I called today at 8am was placed 42 and took 3 hours 10 mins to speak to a receptionist. Defo needs improvement asap.

Certain staff let the team down.

Reception staff let the team down with their negativity, unhelpful, arrogant unprofessional attitude it cost nothing to speak to people properly with respect. The sign up in surgery stating not tolerating abuse works both ways why should patients have to experience this Drs don’t speak to you like that so what gives the receptionist the right to. Sad really because majority of the team do there job well helpful go out of there way too help you remain professional throughout really need to address this as this is unnecessary stress and up to the patient.

Yes, you do have to wait awhile to get through on the telephone, but usually I get seen the same day which you can't fault. I wouldn't want to be a doctor's receptionist and think those that are deserve medals.
