Same day urgent appointment

Asked for a call back and GP rang back after a couple of hours. Offered an appointment for 12pm but I managed to negotiate one at 3pm due to work. GP I saw was helpful and referred me there and then so no complaints.
No call back from Drs twice

Poor responses to requests for dr to call back, twice I called to check that I was going to be called back, twice was told on list, only two others waiting ahead of me - call never came. This is the second occasion this has happened!
Doctor always calls back and have always been

Always have to wait in queue, however the doctor or nurse never fails to get back the same day. Doctors and nurses are very professional.
Wrongly triaged

This is based on my experience 3 months ago. I called into surgery and had a triage call. Submitted a urine sample and did not get results for 2 weeks which was a UTI. Ended up on an ambulance 4 days on the trot as signs of sepsis. Called in surgery during this period and still did not see a GP. Find the system ridiculous for that. Felt I was wrongly triaged. Ended up with major infection and gallbladder operation and removal. Been very stressful and I feel if I'd been seen from start it could have been prevented
Difficulties accessing appointments

We only come here twice a year for diabetic related checks. Do not see point trying for anything else as you call and can be in queue for an hour then only get a call back. You can book appointment for next day but only if you do it online. Just does not work for us. Never been offered GP+
Difficulty with triage system

Can be very difficult to get through on the telephone. I am in past 8 and I am 49th in the queue. Have had difficulty with triage system as I work and cannot answer the phone always. Feel a callback should be within an hour. Last time I waited 4 hours
A nightmare waiting on the phone

Just a nightmare waiting on the phone to then just get a triage call. It is only going to get worse if they can't get more staff.
Getting an appointment is stressful

Find the whole process of getting an appointment is stressful. If everything is 'on the day' it does not take into consideration your working and cannot answer telephone. Really annoying and discriminatory.
Difficult to answer calls when on school run

So far with the new baby and other children they are excellent. Just lucky I am home in the school holidays. Much more difficult when on school runs to answer calls, or you think you may miss it and then not get another call.
Brilliant doctors, nurses and admin staff

As a family we feel so grateful for being able to see one of two doctors over many years. It really helps, us feel that they know us well before an appointment. Even though these two have retired this year we are really pleased that we can build up this relationship with another doctor at the surgery. If however, there are times when we need to see someone else, all doctors at Ravenswood are great.
