Seen face to face

I am very happy with the service, and I was seen face to face in the lockdown, after initial telephone appointment. Waiting on the call always goes down really quickly (within 10 minutes in my experience)

I do understand the pressures but

I do fully understand the pressures that the surgeries are under. but waiting so long on the telephone really is frustrating. I was 54 in the queue recently and ended up having to hang up to go to work. I have not tried online, but will have to, I am just not familiar with it.

Good doctors, appallingly rude receptionists

Having to call at 8am to try and get an appointment is not thought through for people who work. Often a 45min wait on phone only to get a rude receptionist who talks over you and informs you all appointments have now gone and to repeat the same process tomorrow. The doctors are ok if you can speak to them but reception staff frequently talk over you, sigh heavily or hang up mid conversation. The surgery is covered in ‘don’t do this’ notices, perhaps if they spent less time laminating signs and more time on customer care then the ratings would be higher. Pointless complaining as they do not follow-up on complaints.

I was unsure of why I had been called in for a further endoscopy and was very frightened but the staff explained everything too me and were very patient and kind

Long wait in pharmacy for prescription

Saw a medic, prescribed antibiotics which was sent electronically to the pharmacy right next door. 30 mins later still.no sign of it so am having to make a special trip back later. Happens all the time apparently. Still, I'm saving the NHS money which is good. Not so good for me not feeling well and having to hang around.

Iv never had a problem here always managed to get an appointment when needed. All the staff whoever iv seen has been friendly and helpful. Wether for myself or my children.

Service is lacking

We find this service is lacking especially around Mental Health. We had not heard of the dedicated mental health nurse so will ask to specifically see them. I have seen a 'Link' worker here but they just suggested some books! Ridiculous and not for me. So prescriptive, they should be talking to me to see what I think I need to help me.

Not considered online before

Only really use the surgery for routine things really, so always get sent appointments or book in advance on the telephone. I will now register to use online access, as I had not considered it before, due to not using the service much, but at least if it is there I can if I need it.

Although we were 40ish in the queue this morning, we were able to get an appointment the same day, so that was really good. We do use the computer, so will look at access online and if that can help, as we then won't need to call.
