Computer is not easy

The check in computer is difficult for people to use, especially for those with reduced strength.

I called to book an appointment and got one quickly, they were very efficient.
No one there at 3pm

I went up to the health centre for a blood test but at 3pm there was no one there to do them not sure why.
2 1/2 week wait for a blood test

In April I had a fasting blood test but had to wait 2.5 weeks for a morning appointment at 8.25. 2 members of staff were on duty with one on holiday but one was having to help people with the computer meaning that only one was taking blood. Why not have one computer for booking appointments and one for checking in as the queues can be quite long. It doesn't work having walk in appointments as they seem to clash but you have to have some walk ins avaiable as waiting times when you try to book it can be 2 weeks or more.

There can be a two week wait for a blood test. I generally call to book my appointments which works well and the staff have been pleasant.
Preferred the old ticket system

I did prefer the old ticket system although the new system works. Transport to the health centre is very difficult for people who can't drive.
Mixed messages about booking in April

I called to book an appointment using the number on the leaflet I was given but was told I couldn't book by phone and that I would have to go up to the health centre at either 08.15 or 13.15. I knew I could book online but this wasn't advised. When I did go online there wasn't an appointment available for 2 weeks. If it had been an urgent blood test this would've been a problem. I checked in at the surgery but using the computer there wasn't that clear. There was only one person taking blood the other was on a break at 10.25. I much preferred the old ticket system.
Late fasting blood test appointment

My husband needs a fasting blood test before an appointment with his doctor. I tried to book and was given one for the week before seeing the GP at 10.15 but this means that he will be fasting for more than 12 hours.
Seen quickly as a walk in patient

In May I tried to get an appointment by booking online but the earliest was 1.5 weeks away and this was too late. We were advised to walk in which I did and it was a 15 minute wait. The staff were really great and I've never had any problems.
Service works well

Works well, I like being able to book the appointments much quicker.
