Having the appointments system is better

August 10, 2016
Having the appointments system is better but on one occasion we tried to get a walk in appointment (in the winter) and couldn't get one that day. This system is much better than the previous one.. Very good, very quick results and I'm told when the next appointment is needed. We've managed the system ok at home and we are not great with computers!

Straight forward to book appointments

August 10, 2016
It's straight forward to book appointments and I've walked in this morning, used the computer in the health centre which was easy and clear to use to book my appointment today. I really didn't think I'd get an appointment straight away!

Improved over the last few months

August 10, 2016
Over the last few months it's improved. The computer is now working better and is ok to use. Previously it didn't seem to take the information being entered. I generally call to make an appointment but have to arrange my test as soon as the card comes through to ensure that I get one when I need it.

staff good, but first appointment in 3 weeks

July 12, 2016
Now have to phone to get an appointment rather than just turning up and taking a ticket. I called and the first appointment available was in three weeks. Staff though have been good.

Ticket system was easier

July 12, 2016
Making an appointment to combine with nurse appointments is very difficult. The ticket system was much easier to use. Staff have been very polite even though they must get a lot of complaints. I call to book my appointment well in advance, they are very busy.

Much easier now

The old system meant you had to wait 2 1/2 hours where as the new one means you can book by phone or online. Much easier.

Had to wait 3 hours for an appointment

July 12, 2016
We had to wait 3 hours for an appointment . We had booked by phone but it never came up when we checked in. There is a coffee machine but drinks are very small and possibly it doesn't work properly. Transport is a particular issue it can take half a day to have an appointment. The computer isn't easy to use and not having a computer at home it has taken a while to get used to it.

Booking computer not easy to use

July 12, 2016
There are only 8-10 walk in appointments available. The system isn't easy to use. I came in recently and there were 50 people waiting so I went away. Waits recently haven't been too bad. Overall its not a user friendly service especially for older people and a staff member has helped people.
