Good hospital

All my referrals to a variety of departments have all been done quickly and the initial appointments have been quick too. I've been pleased with everything.
Long waits - Community Paediatric service

We've face long waits for support from different paediatric services but the one that that we really need is an OT assessment. The problem is that at their young age long waits mean that you are not addressing the issues they are experiencing and they grow and develop at such a rate that it has more impact and they fall further behind.

I was put on a waiting list in September 2023 until March 2025, this is too long to wait when you need help. I felt totally left. When I did get an appointment the surgeon was apologetic that I had to wait so long. Communication is lacking. Another point is I think there should be a deposit for equipment because people sell items on line, that is not right.

There are long waits to be seen by the pain clinic, I've been told it will be about a year and I've been given no advice while I'm waiting.

We attended the minor injuries part of a&e recently at the weekend and were very pleased with how quickly we were triaged and then treated. We were in and out in an hour and a half, which was great.

I went in for day surgery and the staff were lovely at all times. It was an easy experience and I was well enough to go home at the end of the day. Very pleased with the whole day.

I've had a 14 month wait to be seen by the pain clinic and then I'm facing another 7 plus months to wait for the injections. When you've been through so much to try and get a diagnosis and then they say we're not sure so we'll send you to the pain clinic as a last resort almost, it's hard to then wait again.

The care provided during my stay in hospital was good but there is the assumption that you have your own electronic devices to watch tv on as there is nothing available in the room, which I found very isolating and boring, making the days very long.

I've had a six month wait for surgery but it was quicker than I thought it would be at first and I can't fault the care I received when I went in as a day surgery case. Staff were great and I was kept informed throughout.

I recently had a stay in hospital and was pleased with how quickly I was picked up by the ambulance and taken straight through to A&E. The care provided was good and I was then moved to the ward for a brief stay where everything was good too.
