Operation went well

My operation went well and I had a nice nurse. I haven't got to go back any more which is a relief.

I was seen quite quickly by the triage nurse in A&E but then waited a while to be seen. I felt that I should've seen a doctor not a nurse for treatment. Considering how busy the department was I was happy with how quickly I was seen.

It was a great service. Dealt with three extremely friendly & efficient individuals. Receptionist, nurse & doctor were all knowledgeable helpful & above all felt like I was in good hands. Any time scales given were met comfortably which was important too me as I had a young family at home.

Very poor discharge for Elderly Lady

.A & E department discharged Elderly Lady back to a Care home without informing them or her return, no discharge letter and no DNAR was not returned back with her either. The lady had left mid morning and was returned at 16.45pm and she complained bitterly of being "starving" indicating she had nothing to eat. On lady arrived not in her own clothes as she had left, but in an open untied hospital gown. She was arrived incontinent with no incontinent aids. Dignity and respectful discharge was not in sight for the poor lady.

Hip replacement all went well. Pre- procedure assessment was excellent. Equipment arrived next day as promised & was collected after as arranged.

Fantastic service. A thorough examination was given & full explanation of what was going on. The audiologist was a lovely person.

I have had scans done at the hospital and they have always been good. The staff have been really good,

My wife was admitted for inducement of our first baby. Due to her anxiety and mental health I was able to remain in hospital with her throughout, in the days before eventually having C-Section, and afterwards with our new baby.
I felt it was extremely beneficial for her to have my support, and also that it was able to ease the work of staff.
We hope to be able to do the same again with our next child, and perhaps with a more official policy on partners being able to stay.

I had a problem with my heart beat (rate measured at 169 beats per minute) currently it is reduced to 108 beats per minute.
