Have an 18 month wait. I've seen the consultant but then they referred me for a biopsy and now I just have to wait.

I felt sorry for staff

I went to hospital with a broken femur. I was taken straight in by ambulance, the staff and then doctor attended to me, I waited to be X rayed, canula was fitted to me, meds given for pain and a catheta fitted, it was all managed well, I was put on a side ward and the staff were good to me. I had an operation the next day, I was admitted to the ward, I have no complaints they all did well really. The only thing was I did feel sorry for the staff on the ward as it felt that they were understaffed and under pressure. Food in the hospital was ok and improved since my last visit several years ago now.

Well organised

I was invited to a pre op education session which I found to be reassuring, it was held in the lecture hall at the hospital, it was well organised and I felt encouraged and glad I attended. The consultant in orthopaedics was very good. I have been impressed with referral from AHP and all treatment.

Technician is very good in Orthotics

I initially was referred to the orthotic department and was assessed. Unfortunately the wrong carbon fibre orthotic device arrived for me which were the wrong size and fit on the first two occasions which must have been very expensive. The Technician then looked and fitted me for another device and then adjusted it and all is going well now. I felt that they went out of their way to help me. 5 stars for the Technician.

Very good epilepsy care

I am cared for and have regular appointments for my epilepsy at the Neurology department at the hospital. Their communication is very good, I email and the lady at the department rings the next day. I am shocked in a good way how responsive they are and I feel looked after and cared for with them.

The care is good but the last time I was at the hospital there was no hand wash in the toilets.

The online session was good and it gave a lot of information but it was very difficult to sit still for the whole session. I've also been given a TENS machine which has helped but I can see the the service wouldn't suit everyone.

Link between WSH and Papworth

I have a range of problems, including cardiac. I am happy to attend WSH and Papworth. I used to be able to log in to the NHS app and select either WSH or Papworth in order to access results etc. Now I can log into WSH but the app doesn't offer Papworth anymore. I've tried Dr too, but that gives you nothing. I've also tried Healthlife but again there's no longer a link to Papworth or opportunity to 'login to another health care provider'.
