Mum has had complications after bowel cancer and she has been rushed to hospital multiple times due to the pain. She then has to stay on the ward for a week after being taken in by ambulance but they just keep sending her home rather than proactively addressing the underlying issue. After this latest visit they have now said she will be invited in for an operation which at least may address the underlying issue, it's just taken time to get to this point. Care on the ward each time has been good, its all just reactive not proactive.

I've been in and out over the past 6 months and I've been very happy with the care. I had an infection that was difficult to get on top of but staff were really informative and when I was in hospital they were always around when I needed them. Each time I was discharged I felt it was done well and everything that was needed was put in place. The best meal I had was the salad but some of what I had wasn't the best but sandwiches were available. There was no television available but I could access the radio.

I've been happy with the checks and tests done and the explanations from staff have been good. I was then referred on to Papworth. Been very pleased with all the care provided.

I really couldn't fault the quick response from midwives. I went in twice thinking I was in labour and they were very supportive and it's great that partners are allowed to stay overnight. The only area that could be improved was around an earlier pregnancy and the support and information staff provided when I had a miscarriage. At my 12 week scan I found out I had lost the baby but how things were explained by staff it was almost like I had to find my own way through it all.

I was referred and had received an appointment in a weeks time for an MRI. I was really impressed how quickly I was seen and everything on the day went well too.

Consultant did not appear to know why I was there. I was made to feel very embarrassed and uncomfortable. I was given a website to check out for conditions

Had a 2 year wait for shoulder surgery and then it was cancelled a week before the planned date and then had to wait over 3 weeks for another date to be arranged. They then tried to arrange for me to go to a nursing home to recover but I really didn't feel listened to initially.

The unit and staff were very good but on discharge I was promised the earth but nothing was put in place and family had sort everything. There seemed to be a clash between the local authority and health and no communication about when everything would be in place.

I've had a few stays in hospital recently and the care each time has been good and the staff great at explaining what was happening and what would happen when I went home.

Apart from when I was diagnosed with a colonoscopy I haven't actually been seen by the team but I've had a phone call to see how I'm getting on.
