Poor

Ward F9
October 3, 2017
Resident was discharged based on the information they had given us. Resident was supposed to be able to stand with support of one staff and using a frame. It took 4 staff to stand her (resident not able to pull up on frame) Frame sent from hospital too large. CCC had to be called and re- assess her. Groin of lady was red raw from incontinence. Unacceptable discharge

Very busy department!

Gynaecology

This is a very busy department but it is well staffed so no complaints. Really nothing stood out as being in any need of improvement.

We have both been using WSH for years and we have never been disappointed. We have always been very happy with the care we have received. Staff are always friendly and professional.

Very professional. Only issue is we would like to know what will happen next appt

Fracture clinic

This was the third time we have brought our young son to the fracture clinic. Everything has been very professionally handle by busy staff! It would be really helpful if we were to be told during an appointment what to expect at the next one. This is the sole criticism however.

Helpful staff, great overall service

Maternity
September 21, 2017
I had my baby at WSH via elective c section. From my first appointment I felt my wishes were respected and that staff understood and supported my request for a section.

The procedure was delayed due to an unusually high number of emergencies but I was kept updated throughout the day and the staff did their best to fit me in by the end of the day. The procedure was relaxed (even fun!) and all staff were friendly throughout.

I also found the hospital's acceptance of my wish to formula feed while I waited for my milk to come in extremely refreshing and supportive, as I know other places to push breast feeding too forcefully and which often applies unnecessary stress to new mums, and I hope this progressive attitude of 'fed is best' can be encouraged throughout other hospitals
