I have had a benign tumour removed from the roof of my mouth. The treatment at the day hospital was excellent. At all times all the staff were polite and professional. I had a lunch time ( 12.10 and 12.15) appointments in the out patient department and was seen at 1.45 and 12.55 on these occasions, but they were late at the end of the sessions. I now have to have 6 monthly checks - but that will iinvolve travelling to Ipswich as the "Oral clinic" at WSH was closed on 30 June

They don't involve you in conversations about health conditions, its done to you. So long as you know whats going on you can deal with things.

Was induced and all the staff were really nice and helpful. When I had the baby at 3 am my husband was sent home and then I was discharged at 1 pm so he had to come back. Breast feeding was difficult and support was lacking when I needed it.

Appointments seem to run better now, you can often be seen before your actual appointment time

The hospital cancelled 3 operation appointments but for each operation I needed 2 pre-op blood tests. It was found I had a particular blood group. However this was not clear to me at first, nor were the subsequent appointments booked automatically. Perhaps a clarification that I needed to book these appointments would have avoided confusion. Clinical care was excellent

I have used West Suffolk Hospital a number of times over the years and my experience has always been good. Last time was this March. Staff are good and caring

Went in at 7.30 went down to theatre 2 hours later; they were briliant. The nurses and consultant were great. Had absolutely no problems whatsoever

Trying to access support from the hospital post cancer was very difficult. I was told to call at any point if concerned but when I did I was told to go back to my GP to be re-referred to the system

A family member quite frequently receives support for mental health issues and they have always been great at dealing with him.
