Lack of gluten free food

During a stay at the hospital gluten free food was requested but at meal times nothing was available to have.

Recently had a hip operation and the care was very good. I was given exercises to do at home but it would have been better to have someone to visit me at home. I've ended up with one leg shorter than the other so I'm getting wedges made for my shoe to help me walk.
Critical care was fantastic

Critical care at the hospital was fantastic, as has care in other parts of the hospital. The only thing has been the waits in A&E which have been about 6 hrs long, but this was on a Saturday
Closure of oral surgery is a problem

Went to West Suffolk Hospital for oral surgery but now for any follow ups I have to go to Ipswich hospital since the closure. It would be a very long journey for a very short 2 minute check up!

I had my little girl in January and the experience and care I had was brilliant from when I was induced right through to after care especially my midewifes and the theater team that did my c section. Only down side when hubby came to collect me with out son toddler as no one could have him I had to walk from maternity block to car park as he tried to push buggy look after our boy and carry bags no help was offered here even thought I'd had c sec.

Had one appointment at audiology department for my son. It was very good but we then waiting a year for the next one! Felt like we had been forgotten and taken off the list.

Stroke 2 years ago, excellent care. Lovely caring staff and great follow up. Could not have asked for more.
Poor experience with knee operation

Had a knee clean out five years ago. Bad experience, left over night and wet myself. Knee was badly swollen and had to have a lot of blood drawn off, never bent properly since. Other knee is getting worse but putting up with the pain.
Really good nurses on F6 & G5 and food was good.

I stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks and the nurses were really good, some very special people. Everything was explained very well and the food was very good.
Poor. Communication very bad.
Surgical Appliances Department

A resident was seen by the OT in regards to his mobility on 14/3/17 and referred him to the GP who then referred him to the surgical appliances team at WSH for a new leg brace on 23/3/2017. On 15/5/2017 WSH stated they had no referral. The document was sent again by fax and post to WSH. On 14/06/2017 the surgical appliances department has stated that they have no referral for this resident. The department has not answered phone calls on most of the occasions and is extremely hard to reach
