Poor treatment

March 16, 2017
Not a great experience on either occasion. The first baby arrived within 4 hours but the hospital were trying to send me home and didn't believe I was in labour. When they finally did listen I was already 10 cm. dilated

Very poor treatment

Accident and emergency services

Went by ambulance with pneumonia. The doctor I saw just said to take paracetamol and go home. I went home and was then immediately transferred to Ipswich Hospital wher I was admitted for 2 weeks

Good, but parking an issue

March 16, 2017
I attend a number of departments and they are all great. The only problem is that parking is still an issue. If having an appointment during visiting hours you have to arrive so early to make sure you find a space. It's stressful especially when you think you may miss an appointment you've been waiting months for.

Good treatment for stroke but dermatology care very poor

Dermatology
March 16, 2017
When I was in hospital due to stroke everything was very good.
Dermatology dept.- I have been 3 times and seen the same doctor and am not impressed. I was early for my appointment but had to wait well after my appointment time. She always rushes me out and never explains anything. this time she didn't even look at my legs properly, didn't look at my arms. Said I had varicose veins around one heel. When I told her I had broken 2 bones in my heel she then said "Oh well, perhaps that's what it is"! My doctor confirmed it was NOT varicose veins

My father returned home with a significant number of sores on his body. It was obvious the care plan sent by Cedars House wasn't read as I had to ask for an inflatable mattress and boots to protect his feet. I also informed them that he needed to be turned at regular intervals. He was so uncomfortable he complained about pain in his hand and knee and went for xray

Good

Discharge from hospital went well after a little time. No care was available initially so we cared for Mum when she came home from hospital. After 4 day's care was set up and everything worked well. The discussion we had in the hospital was not clear and we didn't realise we had agreed for us to do the care while a package was being arranged

I was in for 3 days and nobody seems to have enough time to do things properly.
