I did a self referral and it's worked really well, I was seen within two weeks and given an appropriate treatment plan.

Given exercises to do

I've used AHP on a couple of occasions but they only really give you exercises to do at home which haven't really helped so I haven't found its worked for me.

Care has been good

Riverside Clinic, Ipswich

I've been seen by the physio, face to face and been given exercises to do at home and the care provided has been really good. They are referring me for an xray and I'm just waiting for that now.

Self referral worked well

Riverside Clinic, Ipswich
November 11, 2021
I had lower back and shoulder pain and did a self referral which worked really well. I was given a number of exercises to do at home and they have worked really well. I've been really pleased with the treatment and advice I've been given.

Following falls at home I've had the physios visit me and they've really helped to sort out the problems I was experiencing. Its worked really well for me and can't fault the service and care provided.

Gave up

October 15, 2021
Following an operation and discharge from hospital the physio came out once and wasn't going to come back for 6-8 weeks so I decided it was too light touch and went private for treatment.

I am sorry to hear of your experience. AHP Suffolk do not provide home care treatment. I believe your physiotherapist will have come from Suffolk Community Healthcare.
The contact details for their Care Coordination Centre are 0300 1232425.
Best wishes

Generic exercises

September 13, 2021
I was given generic exercises after speaking to staff but the exercises I was given actually made the issue much worse and I then needed an operation. May be if I'd been seen in person it may not have been that bad.

Called number shown on website (which is incorrect). Called the number given on answerphone which was answered by a woman. Was then transferred to another number (appointments) which was not answered.

A new lease of life

Hartismere Hospital – Eye
July 9, 2020
After my first five sessions exercising under skilled supervision at Eye Open Gym I was able to wean myself off the anti-inflammatories I had depended on for nearly 7 years. Due to the ‘lockdown’ my condition has deteriorated and I am now having to resort to occasional help from an anti-inflammatory medication.
I am impatient for the gym to reopen and to regain full mobility.

A trying experience trying to appointment

Sudbury Health Centre
March 9, 2020
I am a pensioner with a limited experience in computer skills. Tried phoning to make an appointment but having navigated pressing various buttons and listening to advice about making an appointment online was the most convenient and simple way I held on hoping to speak with a human being. After making numerous calls, each time holding on for what seemed an eternity, I conceded defeat and tried to make the appointment on-line. Unlike the advice on the phone it was a simple thing to do and was actually quite stressful. Thankfully a neighbor stepped in and helped me. I was left with the impression that if you don't have a computer or computer skills, or the patience to hold on in the hope of somebody answers your fall then our won't get treatment.
