Allied Health Professionals Suffolk (Physiotherapy)

After seeing my GP I was referred on to the physio and was given an appointment within three days. I was given good information and advice on exercises and know that I can call them if I don't see any improvement.

I asked to be moved here for Physio as I found getting to Ipswich hospital more difficult. They took me quickly. Cannot fault the care

I liked the service provided but the outcome wasn't good. I was referred to the surgeon who then referred for an MRI but since September, I've heard nothing.

Have had physio which has been okay but it has been difficult to progress further and get more investigations and treatment for an older patient. Although the treatment has been good getting further has been difficult.

I like it that I can access this service at my surgery as I rely on buses to get around. Staff are good and explain treatment well.

I was referred to the service by my GP. I've had a number of appointments and was initially seen very quickly. I have been given exercises to do at home which are working well and the physio has been very good.

Some of the advice sessions for the pathway were not really relevant but you had to attend, others were good like the pre-op discussion about what to expect and covered everything needed. Care and staff were both very good.

They have been very good and I like that you can self refer. The treatment and care provided has suited me really well.

The treatment received was very good however, I went through the whole process, having physio for weeks, being referred on to hospital, having the pre-op information session but then I was told I needed another operation first and that the initial one would be postponed. By the time I'd had the other operation and then recovered too much time had past and rather than being able to have the operation as previously discussed I was told I had to go through all of the physio process again starting from the very beginning again. There was no way to circumvent the pathway and join at a later stage which was incredibly frustrating considering how close I got to having the operation in the first place.

I've been helped by the staff with my back and they were really great. I was given exercises to do and I now no longer have to visit them but carry on with the exercises they gave me. My husband has also had treatment but it hasn't worked so they are referring him to hospital.
