Diabolical, heartbreaking level of service.

14 weeks after being under the impression that they had referred me for a hip replacement, I was devastated to discover that he had not done anything about it. This, after attending 5 weeks of exercise classes & assessments before & after. Is this what the nhs has come to that a physio can let us down?

Efficient and thorough

Framfield Medical Centre, Woodbridge

My second visit today. Once I self-referred on GP's advice I had a call within a couple of weeks and accessed the service a couple of weeks after that, which I find fine and acceptable timescale. They have been thorough and given me things I can do at home. It is early days but hopefully it will help long term.

So far, so good

Framfield Medical Centre, Woodbridge

Service so far has been good and easy to access at this venue (Framfield surgery) There is good parking which helps on site and it is free. They are also pretty thorough and answer my questions if I have any, which helps put my mind at rest.

Poorly organised - blood test service

January 23, 2019
Attended the clinic for some simple blood test for an acute infection.

Slow and inneffective - waiting was poorly organised with those atttending with others (not even having a blood tests) taking up all the seats in the waiting areas and staff did nothing to rectify this.

A simple request that those not actually waiting for a test leave the waiting area it’s a clinic not a spectator sport.

Seemed to be very few staff actually taking the samples and they were painfully slow- ridiculous situation where the whole Ipswich area has to try and get their diagnostic tests completed in this 3rd world fashion. The service provided does not meet the demands or needs of the local
Community. Obviously a cost cutting measure.

Good advice

Hartismere Hospital – Eye

Have had two appointments and found them very good with advice and explanations about the issues I have. They gave me exercises to do, provided some hands on manipulation and good advice about posture etc.

I asked to be moved here for physio as I found getting to Ipswich hospital more difficult. They took me quickly. Cannot fault the care.

Seen quickly

Very quick normally, can be seen and home by the time your appointment is due, it all works well. I tend to book appointments online which is easy to do and works well also.

Exercises working well

Sudbury Health Centre
December 21, 2018
I referred in to the service and the exercises are working well and I'm getting the right advice. The issue isn't urgent so I didn't need a very quick initial appointment but I got one in 2-3 weeks which was good.

Mobility not taken in to consideration

Sudbury Health Centre
December 20, 2018
The assessment initially didn't take into consideration my mobility and when I did the floor exercises for my my back I couldn't get up and no one really helped me. I've been given exercises to do, I now just need to do them.

Not a great experience

Stow Lodge Centre, Stowmarket
December 19, 2018
I did a self referral in to the service, the initial consultation wasn't great, the member of staff wasn't very understanding of the pain I was in and kept hold of my leg which was excruciating. They referred me on for an x-ray and informed me I'd need to wait a couple of weeks for the results. After a few weeks I was told I needed an MRI which would be 6 weeks. When the results came in the diagnosis was severe and much worse than expected. I've had to wait from May until October for the operation. At no point have I been told what I should or shouldn't be doing and considering my spinal cord is compromised it leaves me feeling unsure what to do.
