Easy to arrange. Love the location. Such a pretty hospital. Very attractive , well kept grounds.Fabulous staff.

I self referred but was initially given the wrong number by my surgery, but the ervice I received has been great and I got an appointment and was seen in a follow on appoitment to check my progress. By the third booked appointment I actually had iproved so much that I cancelled the appointment and I've been great ever since.

After a 6 week break due to traumatic happenings I wasn't sure of how to go about staring back at Open Gym (transport problems still an issue). I rang number on car given by GP a long time ago when the problem began. The person who answered was pleasant but said the time was 11 o'clock on the Tuesday I felt I could start back. She didn't seem sure when I said it had been 10.30 before (conflicting times). I went for 10.30 and was told by receptionist that it was 11 o'clock now. I felt a bit distressed.
The receptionist arranged for me to have a chat with the physiotherapist at 11 o'clock. Was able to get home again as pre-arrange.

Not at all impressed

My GP referred me here, and I'm not at all impressed by them. Firstly, I didn't even get an initial face-to-face consultation (and even if I had, Suffolk is a bit far to travel for me). Instead, I had a quick phone call and was sent exercises to do through the post. I was told to do these exercises for a number of weeks then get back in touch to give them an update on my condition. I tried to get back in touch found it very difficult so didn't get much further than that. I found the whole experience really impersonal and off-putting.

Both times [Name redacted] has helped me to get back to fitness, they're always kind and gives me plenty of exercises to help me improve my back at home.

It's an excellent self referral service. After doing the referral online I had an appointment with in two weeks . I was then seen quickly by the physio who assessed the situation and then after doing exercises referred me on to hospital for an operation on my hip at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital, which went really well.
Bad and SLOW

After the physio decided I needed a new hip I had to be referred on to a more senior
this took weeks this in addition to the 18 week NHS statuary waiting limit to have the procedure after the hospital has received the referral

Very little hands on physio is provided and the appointments tend to be catch ups on how things are going with the exercises prescribed the appointment before. I don't really know what the treatment plan is other than to do the exercises suggested. I have seen the same physio each time which has been good.

I was seen pretty quickly from the time of my referral. I am a patient at Leiston and the GP referred me into this service. Fortunately I can access this surgery as I drive. Be great if they were in Leiston as I do not always have a car.
